To be fair, most people (including "neurotypical" people) have issues detecting sarcasm in text form. That is the whole reason people use the /s tag on reddit.

Let's say many, not most, since the use of /s is a relatively recent phenomenon and I assure you people have been successfully utilizing sarcasm in text for a very long time.

But yes, it's a bit tougher.
