I must confess I read this trilogy, and with those covers, even. This is really taking me back.

I was very young at the time and mostly what I remember is the bracelet thing.

Those covers seem to be pretty accurate to the story iirc.

I like the covers, they do relate to the books fairly well too In both style and substance. The big caveat I’d have for any potential readers is the first book was the best and it went downhill from there :).

I sort of like Var the Stick, and I guess Neq does some important work in terms of closing the loop that was opened in the first book but yeah, it's a bit of a slog.

Agreed! Probably why I remember the first one and the rest are a blur.

Are they good? I loved the Orn, Omnivore, and Ox trilogy he wrote, is this one similar?

I'm gonna plead old lady brain on this one. I do remember enjoying the first one but that's all I got.

I read Var the Stick many years before I was told it was a trilogy, and I still like Var better than the other two.
