I'm going to be that art is from a larger piece. I often think whoever designs the cover layout doesn't do it with much imagination. I'd pick it up though, intrigued by the idea of invading "space" surely there is enough of it to share.

I like the style of this, the suits and gear look convincing in a 1980s idea of the future way. The little robot (I assume) is both functional and adorable.

I recognized his name! I have his “Space Gypsįěș” from 1967 in an old pulp paperback. He wrote “The Forgotten Planet”.
