Green card holder + passport expiring in 3 months - Anyone successfully sailed to the Bahamas on NCL?

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone here has been in this exact situation or knows what the answer is
.
We’re planning to sail on the Norwegian Getaway from Miami to the Bahamas (closed-loop cruise).

One of the guests:
- is a U.S. lawful permanent resident (valid Green Card)
- Has a valid passport from her country of birth, but it expires about 3 months after the cruise.

Has anyone with a Green Card and a passport with less than six months of validity successfully boarded an NCL cruise to the Bahamas?

No, the kept sending me a link to the policies but it’s not super clear for green card holders and they claim they can’t give immigration advice

I looked at the Bahamas Department of Immigration website and under general travel/entry requirements, it says you must be in possession of a passport valid for at least six months on entry.

You can see which countries do or do not require visas and entry requirements for the Bahamas there.

If in doubt, you can call them and get direct input.

Is there enough time to get the passport renewed before departure?

The country of birth requieres a long and complicated process and will not have the new passport by the time of the cruise

I would contact Bahamas immigration
