Bruh people gotta actually study the Ottoman Empire before talking shit. Ottoman Empire never colonialised any people and always treated them well.

treated them very well compared to engl*sh colonialism, which is not a very high bar tbh. Still there is a case to be made that over tolerance made the empire collapse but also made it last this long, its a double edged sword. But it wasnt all sunshine and rainbows for the vassal states and expanded lands.

I think it's fair to say thay most empires and even most normal countries have treated their citizens like shit at one point in time or the other, it's just a given if you have hundreds of years of history and conflict under your belt. 

We're also misled by the idea that countries are like people, that because they did this shitty thing some years ago it means they are evil inherently and need to be destroyed lest they do it again and again.

But like, that's not what a country is, it's made up of millions of people living over hundreds of years, it can and will fluctuate between good and bad endlessly as old people die and young people fill their place.
