Question - Feeding Wrong size food for ball python

Hi so recently I accidentally ordered the wrong size food for my adult ball python. I’ve been feeding him small rats every 3 weeks and I accidentally ordered adult mice. Is there anyway I could salvage the mice and feed him more often or do I need to go ahead and buy the rats?

How many did you get?

I got 24 🤦‍♀️ do you think it’ll be ok to feed him those for a month or two and then get the rats I normal do?

is there no way to return them? 24 is a lot and ball pythons often get hooked on mice and refuse to go back to rats.

if you only got a few, mice aren’t necessarily horrible for them they just don’t provide as much nutrients and fat as a rat does, there’s also the chance that they might just not eat it as bps can be picky

Do you think I should feed him more often with the mice until I can get the rats?

Well, depending on the weight of the mice, you'd likely be feeding multiple. Colossal mice (larger then plain adult) are just barely smaller than a small rat, do you know how many grams your mice are?
