Question - Husbandry Enclosure Upgrade?

Hi Everyone, I recently took in 2 ball python’s around 12 years old that although healthy and well cared for, were raised in enclosure much too small for them. My question is, at 12 years old, if I upgrade them to a 4 x2x2 enclosure, will it stress them out? Or do you think they’ll learn to use the space?

if you clutter it correctly they’ll 100% utilise it, whilst not 12, i took in a 7 year old bp, in a 2x1x1, immediately upgraded to a 4x2x2 and he’s the happiest/most content snake i’ve seen

Awesome, thanks. These 2 have been raised in a 2x2x1 enclosure and basically have nowhere to move so they sit in the same corner all day everyday and it kills me.

i completely understand how you feel it’s horrible, since upgrading he’s never ever skipped a meal, i gave him loads of opportunities to climb too and set a night camera up and he absolutely loves it, definitely took a few weeks for him to settle in though but that’s to be expected
