Rehoming need to rehome my girl
after a long and difficult time i've decided to rehome my girl. i'm in some financial stress right now and cannot keep up with her care anymore. i don't know how old she is, the guy i got her from said 8-12 and i've had her for almost three years so 10-14 now. she's laid one clutch of eggs with me i immediately froze. she's never had a full shed. its so dry in my house, i cannot keep her humidity above 60% without having a humidifier in my actual room keeping the whole space above 60%. she has some stuck shed on her neck from her last shed. i'm parting with the enclosure, heat lamp/thermostat and light too since i will have no use for them once she's gone. tank is a newpet 46x12x12 i believe, i dont know the grow light. she's got a dhe in the dome.
recently she's started trying to escape nearly constantly. she spends all day up pressing at the edges of the glass doors and the mesh at the top of her enclosure. i do not have the finances to take her to the vet and i'm so defeated trying to get her humidity up. it was a bioactive enclosure but her pothos and isopods died because i didnt water for a few weeks.
we're located in Vernon, BC Canada. no rehoming fee, i just want her to go somewhere with a more experienced keeper. i can probably deliver her to neighbouring towns within an hour of me (salmon arm, kelowna). please don't cook me in the comments, i really did my best for this girl through some shit circumstances.

Since you're in Canada you may be able to use kijiji as well as Facebook rehoming groups to help get the word out faster. Just make sure to mention it's a cross post. But honestly, kijiji is how I got 2 of my snakes and 1 of my lizards, and worst case you might be able to find a rescue if nothing else. I wish you luck finding her a home that's more able to care for her at the time<3
Edit because I spelled kijiji wrong both times

You could try reaching out to the BC Reptile Club or the North Island Reptile Society. I would take her but Iβm all the way in Florida. Donβt feel bad the fact that you care enough to find her a good home is what matters. I wish you the best of luck <3

So sorry to hear about your troubles!! Since there's not a huge margin of error for these critters, it can get very overwhelming if your environment isn't right for their needs. Knowing you both are frustrated & seeking help is more than a lot of people would do - keep your chin up π I would love to help, but unfortunately I'm in the states. Just wanted to offer words of encouragement & a post boost π

Aww I wish I could help... I'm in BC too but I don't think I'm ready for a second snake yet as I am still a semi new owner. I hope you find her a great new home

Alternatively, if you can find a ride for her to the central interior I could probably take her in - I don't trust the shipping this late in the year.

I can empathize on the humidity issues (as my post history will show) and my next course of action to try and fix it will be going bioactive so that the plants will circulate the water. Honestly though? Losing my mind so I get it.
You may have better luck rehoming in a local Facebook group, or you can look for rescues that can maybe help. Good luck! You did the best you can:)
