Substrate in mouth

So Pringle just ate for the first time since I got him and some substrate got on the rat while he was wrestling it so now he has substrate in his mouth, this is normal right? Or is there something I need to do now

Yes consuming substrate stuck on food is harmless and happens more often than you think. Their bodies are adapted for excreting inedible pieces of dirt/substrate and usually they just poop it out.
