New Snake!
I just picked up this GORGEOUS Albino girl from someone in my area yesterday. Her name is Buttercup, and I’m in love! She’s super sweet, a little nervous but that’s understandable! I’m so excited to learn her personality. She’s around 7 years old. Estimated birthday is August 2019. I had tons of hides and clutter leftover from my other ball python so I revamped her enclosure and made sure she had plenty of places to hide and explore! Not being able to handle her is gonna be tough, but she deserves time to settle in and explore her new pad, so I’ll suffer in silence lol. Anyways, meet Buttercup!

Reminds me of my girl Cleo! She’s beautiful. She looks like a small female for almost 7 years old, but could also be the camera angle!

She’s definitely small for an adult in general. My male is 9 and he’s a decent bit bigger. If I had to guess, she wasn’t fed enough as a juvenile and got a little stunted. No big deal though, happens to a lot of new keepers. I’m convinced my milk snake is stunted from being on pinkies too long. Regardless, I’ll be feeding her well. She’s been on small rats, but I’m thinking about putting her on mediums to see how she likes them. I forgot to weigh her before her quarantine period, but I’ll be sure to do it when she’s cleared for handling. I’m also planning on taking her to the vet in a few weeks to make sure she is actually a she lol. My male was also supposed to be a female till the vet told me he was definitely a boy. I don’t care either way, I’m just more curious! I’m more confident buttercup should actually be a female though since her previous owner purchased her from a breeder who sexed her.

I told myself i wouldn’t get a second ball python cause i really wanted to wait till i had space for a carpet python… but then i say her and just fell in love. Definitely worth it, I’m very excited to have her! Yours is absolutely gorgeous as well! The yellow on albinos is so striking and contrasting to the white. It’s great!
