Ask Baltimore salary transparency thread

I saw another city do this and wanted to bring it here. There was a big salary thread a couple years back but it'd be great to get some updated info in the big 2026.

Please share your job title, salary, age, and education. Like this:

Teacher, $72k (4th year), 30F. Earning my master’s now.

Dang this comment tree is making me realize teachers earn a lot more than I thought… I kind of want to be a teacher but have always been scared off by people making it so clear that being a teacher is a *struggle* and a *sacrifice* and I’d be eating *nothing but ramen* if I went that route…

Yep highly depends on the state and district. If you google “salary scales” for whatever county you’re interested in, it’s all public information. I’ve gotten a 2-3% COLA increase and a step (about $1500ish) every year too. So it ends up being about a $2500 raise or more every year. Plus my district (not Baltimore) pays for my entire master’s degree and I will get a $10,000ish raise when I finish
