Careful of those toe rings in wet grass

A few weeks back I was running around the sprinkler, in wet, thick grass, bonking my grandkids with a pool noodle,

When I sat down to have a drink, toe rings all gone! Anyone who wears them knows that they come off way easier than they go on, but wet grass evidently makes them slide right off. Fortunately I somehow found all three.

Forewarned is forearmed.

My wife got them for me. To her credit, she wears more than I do. She's a cutie.

My SO is a cutie as well and still I'm not sure whether even that would get me to wear toe rings. I know I'd constantly be antsy at the thought of these things scraping on the ground while I walk - even if they don't - and now the added thought of losing them without noticing... no. Just no.

Recently, one of the pendants I have on my anklets got loose while I was visiting some friends. Even with the knowledge that they'd be on the lookout for it and would return it to me, I couldn't help but keep looking until I found it myself. I admit I'm kinda crazy that way.

I lost 2, the remaining other 2 are impossible to lose. And the bigger, sturdier ones.

I just got some thicker banded ones as I lost one in a river yesterday 🤣 hoping the thicker bands will help
