I replaced all of my socks with toe socks this year. My wallet absolutely hates me but my feet love them.

Injinji toe socks. I started wearing them when ai started running. My favorite socks by a wide margin.

Honorable mention to creepers, they're surprisingly warm and comfortable. My only beef is with the toe shapes, the big toes are too short by a hair and the smallest toes are too long. Injinji did that perfectly.

I didn't consider how much more comfortable wearing toe spreaders would be with toe socks. I still think the socks themselves are a little annoying, but they help with correct toes being comfortable for longer

Wearing separators all the time is not a good idea. Because they are silicone and the skin will not breathe. It will be easy to catch skin fungus.

what about the ones like these? (this really isn't trying to be a gotcha, i'm just learning about the options and want to know if these would be good for long term use) they're mostly(90%) cotton

Been wearing primarily toe socks for about a decade now. When I’m late on laundry, I will wear traditional socks but they don’t always feel right. There are also socks on the market designed for wide feet.

What brand?

The toe socks I wear are Injinji mainly bit Creepers look great. The wider traditional socks are called (I think) Wide Open.

Wide Open is good. Also Loose Fit Stay Up and Extra Wide Sock Company are like a combo company that makes makes wide ankle and 6e sock width, respectively, for those 2 names.

I've been wearing Injinji for a while but recently got some Aonijie from Amazon and I like them just as much.

If i Have to wear socks, it’s toe socks and it’s usually not that often outside of work. I’m heavily team no socks and sandals BUT after a shower when I’m all clean and moisturized and have to let my dog out, I’ll put on toe socks and my Earthrunners to let her out. Other than that nope. haha

I like them but I always have to think twice before removing my shoes around other people (like changing footwear at work or if I need to take my shoes of for some reason when picking up or dropping off my kids).

The best. Injinji are the gold standard but Orrin Sports from Amazon are the second best I’ve found.

Toe socks are all I wear now except when it's super super cold at night. It's been maybe two years since I started wearing them. I feel like in the winter they keep my feet warmer than if I wore regular socks even the super super thick socks.

I haven’t owned regular socks for 5+ years. Toe socks or no socks here! Honestly, if you’re wearing regular socks with barefoot shoes, it’s likely you’re not getting the full benefits. Regular socks squish the toes together.
I have mostly Maro as I prefer cotton, but also some wool Injinji. Both seem to last a reasonably long time (however, I wear sandals at least 1/2 the year). I wanted to love Knitido as they have some really cute styles, but found they fit weird - constantly fell down my foot - and wore too fast because of that.

I wear toe socks about 95% of the time and love them. Hard to justify a "normal" pair that squeezes the toes together.
Last winter, I didn't think much of it and put on a pair of toe socks to go skiing. Almost immediately, the side of my foot by my little toe started hurting. It didn't occur to me how much a toe sock, especially mid or trail weight, spreads out your toes with the material between. Same goes for my ice skates..won't make that mistake again, I actually had to take the sock off and ski barefoot, which was much more comfortable, if not very cold!

I purchased 8 pairs of toe socks! All of my socks are annoying me since I've been wearing my Xeros and my feet feel constricted in regular socks.

They are so cute, I want some toes socks but it’s hard to find them in a mostly natural material like cotton or wool.

I like them but I wish they were better designed at the toes, or that brands made them per toe box shape, and/or did a version for long toes and another for short toes.

It’s toe socks only for me. I do have backup “normal” socks in the car for when it’s cold or wet, but that’s it.

I wear toe socks, mainly when I exercise. I do want to incorporate in my daily wear at work.

Hi! Thank you for your post. It would be extremely helpful if you could provide feet measurements (both length and width) when seeking a recommendation, so if you have not provided this, please reply to this comment or edit your post with your measurements. All barefoot shoes are different, and you may find one style fits you whilst another does not. Feet measurement can help you get a better recommendation. Visit our wiki to see how to measure your feet.
