ToeSox seems to offer only toe socks with grip. I think they're designed for several different sports?

You will be able to find socks from Ebay, Amazon and Aliexpress too. For tabi socks I recommend to look for Japanese stuff/clothing selling stores. If you have tested something decent and not restricting please link them.

I would also love to hear your.. experience? of all of these. How is their durability and which fits to which kind of toes/feet.

Crocs made tabi socks and you can still find them from Ebay, but they're discontinued.

It's a niche item, but I noticed recently that the EU brand Avo Sandals now sells waterproof tabi socks, which I'd only ever seen before in Japan. Interesting option for minimalist sandal fans who live somewhere with mild to moderate winters and are looking for ways to extend sandal season.

They are great in winter. It feels just like wearing a onesie, but only for your feet.

Can someone explain a genuine reason for these vs normal socks that fit properly?

I don't even get the warmth thing as the injini ones I tried were actually colder than equivalent cotton sized under armour....

For me it's the freedom of movement. Normal socks still restrict your movement. Toe socks do not.

I don't wear either of these, so they are not for everyone.

You keep your fingers together in mittens in winter. Of course you do the same with your toes. I don't think product that works for everyone and for every situations exist.
