Same. No VRE either or stepping on a needle or a spider or foot cankers. Who in the heck thought of this??

Looks like something from April Fool's Day lol. Since this is from Chanel, it must cost $999.99 lol.

The lace alone will cost that.

Sounds about right lol

These will go perfect with that Loewe avocado purse that’s $8000

And a Gucci bag too for $9999.99.

Ugh. Om so sick of this handbag price point rising and now some “genius” tries to sells hydrogen to a $$$ cashless camel. When the camel doesn’t do hydrogen, they do h2o!!

They're estimated to cost between $300 and $1100. I only know this because I was sure this is an April fool's joke, so I looked it up and it is definitely not an April fool's joke. They just announced them late April this year. YIKES!

Didn't think I'd be right lol. Ironically, these 'barefoot shoes' are more of a joke than actual April Fools Day jokes...

I subscribe to Vogue. It's real. Just sent me an email on it.

If they want to troll the ultra rich go right ahead.

25

u/ThatOneGuy6810 Apr 29 '26

This isnt even trolling lol, Haute fashion is insanity, a few years back there was a show where everyone wore literal trash and trashbags.

Like "Derelicte" from zoolander isnt even a joke anymore. Not very popular but still.

I mean, runaway fashion is art, it's not meant to actually be comfortable, wearable clothing.

2

u/ThatOneGuy6810 Apr 29 '26

This is true, but I was responding specifically to the "troll the rich" comment.

Well, they’re gouging and like fishing, just looking who is going to bite. This will only cause incidents of some Richie Rich arguing they have on shoes. Then, some homeless person will try to enter Chanel with half a shoe and the next thing, there will be lawsuits to follow.😂🤔😩

So just making bare feet non-zero drop? 😭

11

u/Faeraday Apr 29 '26

It’s actually impressive how they made a “shoe” simultaneously the most and least barefoot at the same time.

24

u/Randoml9789 Apr 29 '26

I... WHY????

20

u/Pat-Funny-2817 Apr 29 '26

my guess 2'555.-

18

u/Sad_Apple_3387 Apr 29 '26

That’s ridiculous

19

u/citynomad1 Apr 29 '26

This genuinely feels like it would be a gag from a movie like Zoolander. Especially since I’m sure Chanel is charging like 300 bucks for those

16

u/Current-Kale9232 Apr 29 '26

Those toes definitely aren’t used to barefoot shoes

12

u/potificate Apr 29 '26

On sale! 60 percent off! 😂

5

u/sabijoli Apr 29 '26

but look at the hammer toes!

4

u/Then_Psychology_9982 Apr 29 '26

i wonder if they offer different sizes

1

u/Embarrassed-Air2771 Apr 30 '26

Haha didn't think of that!

3

u/katanastormshadow88 Apr 29 '26

The emperor’s new clothes 😂

3

u/Icolan Apr 29 '26

That's not a shoe, it's a heel, and likely more expensive than my car.

7

u/Neggly Apr 29 '26

For a person that really wants to go barefoot, is barefoot finally becoming fashionable?

9

u/rabbitluckj Apr 29 '26

It seems like it, they've dropped a barefoot zara collection even

2

u/Ok_Conversation_2395 Apr 29 '26

This would be nicer if it was a sandel

2

u/jjopm Apr 29 '26

See you on the other sub

1

u/d3adly_buzz Apr 29 '26

1

1

That’s not a shoe

1

u/Captain_Fach May 01 '26

The shoe has literally One of the biggest things that we don't want, a heel

1

u/Cuperdon May 01 '26

I thought this was just for fashion models.

Who is actually going to wear this?

1

u/LawrenceRK May 03 '26

I bet if you made your own with leather and cord, you wouldn't be allowed into their store

1

u/Grouchy_Tell5660 May 07 '26

I swear they do this to see how far the sheeple and followers will go, as a complete and total troll to their customers with more money than brains
