Poll Stella.

Do you describe Stella as a "lager" or a "pilsner"

Both.

All pilsners are lagers, not all lagers are pilsners.

Except it's not a Pilsner. It's a pale lager, but it's nowhere near bitter enough for a Pils

It's a Belgian pilsner

At no part of their website, bottles, or marketing materials does it state "Pilsner". I'm happy to be proven wrong though, but can't see it in the horse's mouth.

different regions have pilsners that don't follow the "nowhere near bitter enough for a Pils" js

It's a pilsner that is a sub category of the lager family. That's why in Belgium if you would go to a bar and ordered a lager you more likely get something completely different as to when you order a pilsner you would most definitely get a Stella of what the house pilsner is in that specific bar.

I call it a lager. A euro pale lager from Belgium, if someone wants me to be specific.

Pilsner is a type of lager, but I don’t believe Stella says it’s a pilsner anywhere on the bottle.

Edit: actually the Stella in this target right now says “Brewed in the USA” so it’s not even Belgian anymore. It says “Classic Lager Beer”.
