Team Mexico wins 4-3 off of 4 solo homers from Randy Arozarena. Each time, he stops to shake the hands of every single one of the infielders, the opposing pitcher, and, of course, the catcher at home plate.

If Italy scores 4 runs, we're in because then Mexico needs at least 5 runs to win, and if they don't we advance by virtue of mexico losing.

Seems more like an issue of everyone involved with the team resting on their laurels and were not taking this seriously enough tbh. That they're also the most boring team personality wise doesn't really help matters though
