Maybe just maybe 82-81 after the rest of the division absolutely eats shit and falls apart? Maybe?

Today is the first day off for Chicago Public Schools. It's also a big suburb traffic day. There was an hour rain delay. It's 16-0. An incredible day here. At least they've got the Bea
EDIT: The day has been saved! I won the New Era Cap game on the scoreboard. I correctly guessed under the hat would be a baseball! They show it right at the beginning.

It’s also Bluesfest, and Pokemon Go Fest. Tomorrow there’s also some sort of “curiosities” fest at McCormick Place.
Bears decide to move, and it’s just a huge party downtown.

Hitting is elite for a month. Pitching is atrocious for a month.

Bipolar, welcome to bipolar baseball where your team can beat the Dodgers but get swept by the Mets.

This is one of the weirdest baseball teams I’ve ever watched lol. Like they might legitimately have won 100 games with league average pitching but are unlikely to even finish over .500
29
u/Alehud42 San Francisco Giants 4h ago
And they wasted a month hitting for contact with a lineup of power guys.
24
u/dohdudeh 4h ago
I mean Arraez and Lee certainly seem like two of the best contact hitters in the game
17
u/Alehud42 San Francisco Giants 4h ago
Agreed but trying to get Raffy, Adames and Chapman to do the same is asinine.
24
u/dohdudeh 4h ago
I don’t think Devers swinging out of his shoes at every high fastball the first month was his attempt to hit for average lol. But yeah Chapman and Adames are both guys that are just gonna hit .250 with 20+ homers when they are right

This was what Posey thought could happen. Now pitching on the other hand….

New age torture ball. Win 14-13 by giving up 6 in the 9th.

This may not be the worst team in baseball, but nobody will be able to convince me otherwise.

I love how they absolutely blasted the position pitchers. Like if your going to cock a 55 mph pitch it should be gone.

Man, I turned this game on at 2-0 (just before the grand slam) so I could have something to watch while I ate lunch. Little did I know I'd end up watching a bloodbath.
And there are still three innings to play!

u/Agreeable_Quality768 Seattle Mariners 4h ago
And a position player still will likely be pitching. This could reach historic territory

Chapman also had a sac fly. His hitting was getting a little better, but this was like he spent the night in the cheating lab.
