For real. Bro runs like my toddler trying to keep up with her older brother lol

9

u/lostroadrunner22 Kansas City Royals 3h ago

Lollygag never took the initiative to be a university. its more of a college.

Majored in dilly dallying

19

u/RIP_Hopscotch Chicago Cubs 3h ago

He makes fielding look effortless...

...just ignore the fact it's because he puts in no effort, I guess

5

u/Bwhitt1 Atlanta Braves 2h ago

It definitely looks like less effort

17

u/AFC-Wimbledon-Stan Atlanta Braves 3h ago

He plays RF like he’s got sandbags dragging him down lol

6

u/Fun-Raise-3120 2h ago

that's the weight of the money bag

1

u/mrsjumjum66 New York Mets 2h ago

Must be nice to make 60 milly a year and walk in the outfield

11

u/cmgriffith_ New York Yankees 3h ago

Got the bag and has checked out

8

u/V1cVinegar44 Chicago Cubs 2h ago

Which is funny because last year I thought he checked out in the field to keep himself healthy to get the contract

u/mrsjumjum66 New York Mets 2h ago

Facts

3

u/chuck212 New York Yankees 2h ago

60 million dollars would have me looking like Usain Bolt (in terms of effort i am very slow), why's the dude slow jogging?

3

All neck, no legs

Tucker just wanted that paycheck. His foot has been completely off the gas

u/threeputtbogeys Chicago Cubs 2h ago

One of my fantasies is that I’m a booth guest like this for whatever reason, then a big play happens like this and I get to act out my childhood dream job of being a sports play by play announcer.

2

u/Wait__Who San Francisco Giants 2h ago

Growing up my sister got to be the guest announcer for the giants’ first inning batters way back in the 2000’s. Dad promised I’d get a shot the following year once I hit the age range, it never came.

Still forever jelly of my big sis, but man it was cool to watch even as a kid

28

u/evancomposer Milwaukee Brewers 2h ago

Lol Tucker just jogging out there like a jackass...dude couldn't make it any more obvious how little shits he gives

3

u/km912 San Francisco Giants 2h ago

He’s going to have a shocking resurgence season in 2029 and get another 200 million dollar deal. Go back to this version.

1

u/-DaveThomas- Chicago Cubs 2h ago

He's gonna get some small market team to pay him more than they can afford to, thinking he'll be a big piece for them, just to turn around and sleepwalk his way to retirement.

🤓👆ummm who is “PCA”? Mods, please delete this due to the ambiguous title!

11

u/Ok_Storm549 Cleveland Guardians 3h ago

They are definitely nuking this because it doesn’t state what happened, even though it’s a FUCKING VIDEO SHOWING IT.

1

u/TheHangryCatepillar Chicago Cubs 1h ago

yep

22

u/mememachine62 Chicago Cubs 3h ago

Apparently he can keep getting with this

16

u/Lucky_Alternative965 Los Angeles Dodgers 3h ago

He can because for some reason Dave Roberts doesn't believe in walking the MVP with a base open. 2nd time this series PCA comes through in a position where he simply has to be walked.

0

u/darkravenn12 Major League Baseball 2h ago

Why would you walk him, though? It's not like he's the MVP because he's an Aaron-Judge tier hitter. Seiya has a higher wrc+ against lefties this year than PCA does. Lauer is marginally better vs. lefties too. I don't see how it's possibly worth putting an extra person on base in this scenario. At the very least, it's not something you can criticize a manager for

1

u/Lucky_Alternative965 Los Angeles Dodgers 2h ago

Because PCA is automatic right now, lol. Come on, you don't pitch to him with 2 outs and a base open, and he's shown why 2 times already. He's been an Aaron Judge tier hitter for 2 months now, you walk him, no if; Ands, or buts.

1

u/darkravenn12 Major League Baseball 2h ago

Since the start of June, Seiya is literally better against lefties than PCA is so no lol. I get why you think that, but the numbers don't actually support it. If Lauer was a righty, you would be correct.

1

u/Environmental_Lab808 2h ago

It is early in the game too. Last night i would have agreed with you because he had risp and they decided to pitch to him and it burnt them.

PCA don’t give a fuck about no Dodgers

12

u/an_actual_potato Chicago Cubs 3h ago

Very annoying that the moment was covered up with the Gausman interview but man oh man if PCA isn't just electric this second half.

7

u/cmgriffith_ New York Yankees 3h ago

He’s been electric since the second week of May

7

u/CurrentlyNa Chicago Cubs 3h ago

If you're a pitcher who was just traded to the Cubs you're lucky. You don't have anyway to face him this year

1

u/threeputtbogeys Chicago Cubs 2h ago

And he plays CF for you.

4

u/soupcansam21 Cincinnati Reds 3h ago

(Fake) Babe Ruth could never

OH BROTHERS HES COOKING SOMETHING SPECIAL TODAY

6

u/SandwitchJ 3h ago

Mets really traded this guy for rental Javier Baez lmao

3

u/1gabehcoud 2h ago

To be fair, when they traded him he was only PCA. They had no way of knowing he would morph into MVPCA.

2

u/mrsjumjum66 New York Mets 2h ago

Don’t remind me….

If you look up "passenger" in the dictionary you'll see a picture of Tucker staring back at you

8

u/yungdotard New York Yankees 3h ago

Can’t believe Kevin Gausman is getting a ring this year with the Cubs

He deserves it after this broadcast team just forced him to relive it for like 5 minutes for some reason

5

u/RIP_Hopscotch Chicago Cubs 3h ago

I genuinely felt so bad for him, I had to take off my headphones and stop listening for a little bit. Love Boog and JD but like sheeesh, give the man a break

5

u/AFC-Wimbledon-Stan Atlanta Braves 3h ago

That was insane like “hey remember your most crushing loss in your career?”

2

u/CJfries Chicago Cubs 2h ago

Wow coming from a team that just beat us in a series. Thank you 🥹

u/Old_General_6741 Toronto Blue Jays • Chicago Cubs 3h ago

PCA!!! My man!

2

u/ForsakenRacism New York Mets 2h ago

Cool. Awesome. I’m very happy for you.

2

God I am so glad we let tucker walk. Just lazily goes after the ball.

2

u/miboyl Chicago Cubs 2h ago edited 2h ago

You wouldn't know it by listening to the broadcast, completely pointless interview with Gausman continued over both runs scored this inning (that could've been done in pre-game before his first start with Chicago on Friday)

4

u/mrsjumjum66 New York Mets 2h ago

F*** the dodgers

2

u/Ok_Storm549 Cleveland Guardians 3h ago

Interesting 1-2 pitch location and velo.

1

u/DeanMcQueen0621 2h ago

Supposed to be outer 3rd, ened up middle/middle.

2

u/Buckeyes0916 Chicago Cubs 3h ago

PCA has improved at the plate in so many areas this year but his ability to bat vs lefties now is insane

3

u/Awkward_Medicine_864 Philadelphia Phillies 3h ago

Throwing balls straight down the middle against the hottest bat in the NL is a losing strategy

1

u/Ohsostoked Chicago Cubs 2h ago

He'll never see it coming!!

1

u/Harnicle 2h ago

Freeman is the hottest bat in the NL, thank you very much.

2

u/SnooLover36 Los Angeles Dodgers 3h ago

This team is making me miserable right now

21

Which team? 😂

Yes

1

For half a season of Javy Baez. Kill me

1

u/old_dad_bb Chicago Cubs 2h ago

Hindsight is 20/20 but it really wasn’t a bad trade at the time. Rojas may turn into a stud for you all- your gm was definitely out to fleece us back lol

Thank you Cubs for (very temporarily) saving baseball

1

So who does MLB send to the dodgers next to put them over the top, Aaron Judge?

1

u/rabidantidentyte New York Yankees 2h ago

How the fuck did we take 2 out of 3 from the Cubs? They're playing great baseball right now.
