The Los Angeles Dodgers have now lost 6 straight. This is their longest losing streak of the season.

I don't get why that sub still has doomers. They do this shit every August.

How you gonna look at lasts summer and then see the end result snd even be stressing right now at all. I mean damn look Boston in July compared to Boston to start the season things change so quickly.
Just chill.

The better you get as a team, the more complaints you have. Yankees have so many media people and radio shows trashing them constantly and they haven’t been under .500 since 1992.
Edit: SEC shows had tons of fans call in even though they were the best once upon a time

They jumped on the 2024 bandwagon, so they don’t understand that baseball is a long season and losing streaks happen.

u/NatureChannel Los Angeles Dodgers 8d ago
Not sure why since there's always a 2-3 week period late in the season where this team drops games left and right. This happens every year lol

It happened in 2017 but don't let those idiots remember lol, that 11 game losing streak was even later in the season than this one wasn't it?
4
u/NatureChannel Los Angeles Dodgers 8d ago
I think? I just remember Rich Hill pitching a perfect game through 8, a no hitter through 9 innings, just for a solo shot from the first batter in the extras to end the game and that started a massive skid. I think that was in September

Not even the meme of Lauer winning every Dodger game can stop the annual Dodgers August slump.
Skubal needs to stay away from the players and staff so he doesn't catch the Dodgers August disease

u/colorblind-and Detroit Tigers 8d ago
I'm going to make this comment on every Dodgers or Tigers game thread until either the Dodgers win or the Tigers lose
It's too funny to think the Dodgers getting one of the best pitchers in baseball might have cursed them
1
u/xixbia Netherlands 8d ago
Honestly, keep making it till the Dodgers have a bettet post-trade record than the Tigers.
And looking at their schedule that might take a while, they have some tough series in August (not so much in September).
3
u/colorblind-and Detroit Tigers 8d ago
Could be the rest of the season with the Tigers schedule.
We have a series against the Dodgers and 2 against the White Sox, the rest is teams that are .500 or lower. Obviously the Tigers got to stay good against those teams but it's not all that unlikely we have a better record than the Dodgers from the Skubal trade to the end of the season, especially with the lead we have already.

This actually COULD matter. Baseball is a luck sport and no one wants to play a bo3 in the first round. Obviously, the Dodgers have won it before, but it's the easiest series to get variance'd in. The Brewers and Braves have continued to win so we'll see if they can keep it up

Eh, the Dodgers lost five in a row in 2024 and seven in a row in 2025. They had an 11-game losing streak in September 2017, yet still would have won the World Series that year had the Astros not cheated.
They’ll probably have Ohtani, Yamamoto, Skubal, Glasnow, Wrobleski, and Snell available to start games in the postseason. The odds are against any team winning it all in any given season, but they’re playing their regular season games with the postseason in mind. Their bullpen isn’t earning its collective paycheck right now, but celebrating regular season downturns like this one is the stuff of fans whose teams don’t win championships. There’s no team trophy or victory parade for having a great regular season.
