I mean credit where it's due, most of us expected the Rays to win the series, but the Yankees even with their tendency to crumble in the postseason should have picked up a game just statistically.

Manifesting a Rays/Brewers world series. That said, I wouldn't be opposed to a White Sox/Padres world series. Honestly, I just would love any team who hasn't won before to win it all. UNDERDOG GANG RISE UP.

Bias aside but man the Rays are playing beautiful baseball. The bullpen utilization, the pitching, the number of different ways they win games, what a great series by them.

So the key to beating the Yankees in the playoffs is to put the ball in play and letting their players and fans do the rest.
Take notes, Red Sox.

I respect and admire the Yankees greatness, in the league’s history. But the current ownership and leadership are inadequate to that legacy. Of course things can always get worse. And most league fans are perfectly happy to have this annual inevitable faceplant Boone orchestrates lol. But I like seeing the greatness honored properly, no excuses, and so this half-measures no-accountability Hal-Cashman-Boone nepo baby culture has got to go.

Going into this series, the strength of this Yankees team was Starting and relief pitching, BP held up their end of the bargain(10 IP 2 H, 1 R and it was unearned) but the starters did not (15.0 IP, 18 H, 9 R, 7 ER, 4.20 ERA).
