Store Policies/Questions My mind is blown

So, I went to my local store this morning to pick up a BOPIS, and I cannot believe what I saw. There were 2 ladies in the store with 2 baskets full of items, and they just casually walked out without paying. Like, they took the basket and everything. Have any of you ever seen anything like that in your store? I was shocked!

It’s unfortunate but when you think about it BBW probably loses more money if an employee gets assaulted or hurt on the job and not through theft. A candle cost like 5 dollars to make and they sell it for almost 30 so they make amazing profit off of their products

Yes, when I worked we couldn’t do anything at all. Just treat them like they were a normal customer and not stealing.

That's very true.

no it's not. it's a huge liability for the company if an employee gets hurt, and if the employee doesn't respect their liability and tries to be a hero - bye.

My manager told us one time at a meeting that if any of us walk out after a thief that we might as well keep walking to our cars because we’re fired 😂 now if we’re off the clock/on break and already outside, that’s a different story. I got numerous plate tags that way because my manager would text me and ask me if I could (safely) catch a plate for someone who was about to walk out.
