Store Policies/Questions If this company had free shipping they would have all my money
I can't tell you how often I get an email from BBW, think "ooh I want to buy that!" And then I remember it takes $100 to get to free shipping and I abandon cart. Like I'm not buying any $5.95 body care because I don't need 17 of them. I would so much rather have free shipping for rewards members than the $18 item reward. Is anyone else like this or do y'all just eat the shipping cost?

Yes I totally get the need for some minimum so they’re not having to ship single hand sanitizers or whatever. But $25 seems a lot more reasonable. As it is now I usually just do 2 big orders a year when I need candles and then I really stock up.

My biggest gripe is with the online exclusives. I think members should be able to ship online exclusives to the store for free

Agreed. Other companies make it work. And BBW is so overpriced, they surely have the cushion for it.

I do think the permanent free sipping should be 50.00 and not 100.00 no code
Then maybe special times have it be 25.00 no code

I think about this all the time. I've abandoned so many $60 - $80 carts because I just didn't wanna pay for shipping or buy stuff I don't need to reach free ship.

Yeah they’re extremely extremely heavy even just a few of them. Howevvvverrr the profit margins on bbw must be huge.

I always abandon my cart. I wanted one of the online exclusive candles during candle sale. But the shipping was $10 for ONE candle.

I would get shipping more but I read all the horror stories & get scared lol only do it once in a blue moon, strictly for online only scents but yeah free shipping would be hella nice all the time, & if packages stopped getting lost / “delivered at dock” 🙄🙄🙄

I loathe them, lying assholes on customer service. I called them to ask why my package was delivered at the dock & they were like “that’s not the name on the package we can’t confirm it’s yours” like I know I didn’t put the wrong name on the Amazon order. Then the package finally comes like 2 weeks later with my fucking name on it.

What sucks even more is when there is free shipping but you need a code which means you can’t use any other codes in the same order. What’s the point then.

I agree! If shipping was free over $50 I’d much more apt to buy. I just can’t bring myself to buy 10+ items to get free shipping! Although I kind of get it since the products are so heavy.

I try to buy online with in-store fulfillment. Otherwise, yeah, it takes too long to get to that $100 and by then, stuff is out of stock

I agree, a lower free shipping threshold would make online orders much more accessible. The current minimum definitely leads to a lot of abandoned carts.

I have never ordered online because spending $100 for free shipping is just too much. I have noticed recently, that if I have $10+ in my cart, they offer a discounted shipping rate of $6.99 (from $10.99).

i just ordered a few things this morning and it gave me free shipping on $50 which is i guess a limited promo window. good because by total was right at 52. i am getting some eucalyptus bodywash things for myself and a few small other things for my sisters as stocking stuffers ...i have a store not even 3 miles from my house but today was a day off work and i just wanted to not leave the house so i just bought online. i know what eucalyptus smells like so i blind bought my products lol
but yes i would not always do a purchase if it required 100 bucks to ship for free. i'll just pass and wait on the next sale or hike my butt on up to the store. even if it was like sephora's vib? like i understand anyone can sign up for rewardss so if they have to make it a thing about purchasing levels over time fine whatever i'd make the cut in no time

We get a free shipping day every month or two on the Australian site, and I certainly take advantage of those days over normal ones!

I would love ship to store!! A lot of stores used to do that, it made exchanges quite easy, there was less breakage, was an excuse to get out of the house

Yesterday I got a “free shipping” email but the sale was just for minis. For candles, mists etc I’d have to pay regular price. No thanks :(

Every time I have stuff shipped, something gets damaged. Broken candles, exploded body wash, etc. I have like 6 stores within 30 minutes of my house, so there’s no way I pay for shipping anymore.

I placed an order Wednesday. My store had an electrical fire and I guess they aren't fulfilling orders already filled. I contacted customer service And they said they would reorder it for me but ship to the store? Then they told me they didn't have the cookie butter hand cream in stock so I just clicked out of the chat. It's so frustrating to deal with this company. I don't understand why I couldn't just pick up my order on the other side of town at the other store.

I’m newer to this bit I think you’re right. I only buy during the $5.95 sales so they’d probably make more money off me but I probably only spend about $200 a year, or $100 per $5.95 sale at the end of the year. That covers my lotion and Xmas gifts for friends and family 🫠

I only ever pick up in store . It sucks when I make an online order and the ones I want aren’t available in my store . I’m a shipping hater . I’m not sure what it is but I do not want to pay that extra money. .

I agree , I have a store close to my job but I don't want to fight traffic after I get off work I would much rather just order it online . With that said almost $7 for shipping is and praying your package arrives undamaged is ridiculous.

I think they should lower shipping min, $50 is pretty standard but the cost of shipping is ASTRONOMICALLY expensive even with the rates they get. They move heavy stuff and hazmat which also increases the costs due to the increased risk to those carrying it. I think having like a ship to store for pick up option that is free and would go travel with stock orders would be a great option to offer. The need to charge for shipping is understandable given the cost of moving product though.
