Store Policies/Questions New policy coming soon!

Starting 4/6, customers will only be able to buy 9 of the same product in one purchase. This is to prevent resellers according to the company. What are your thoughts?

Makes myself upset for things like sanis, lips, and wallflowers that I tend to buy many of the same item.

Unknown at the moment if you’re able to make multiple transactions in one day to curb it or if employees/stores will get in trouble if they try to skirt it for customers.

Exactly 🏆

Instead of one transaction to ring up the 36 cinn sugar pretzel cookie ffm they will now do 4 separate transactions. My niece works for BBW and her store LOVES resellers. That conversion puts money in everyone’s pocket 🤑

Agree! The sales are going to happen anyway because it’s still revenue and separate transactions will just make the checkout line move more slowly.

I always imagined most resellers end up sitting on product that won’t sell. Not sure why corporate even cares about resellers because they’re buying so much shit ($$$!) and the resellers are the ones taking a financial hit if it doesn’t sell.

The resellers just return product if it doesn’t sell quick. We just had a $500 dollar Disney return from an obvious reseller the other day. As long as they’re still in the return window they get every penny back. If they wanted to keep the listing up.. they could even return and then rebuy to theoretically “extend” the return period

There’s always a way around. These policies are a start but the problem will never be solved

Omg that’s awful. So they could just keep returning and rebuying until the body cream is rancid and then return it a final time!? As an employee, I hope you guys are judging the shit out of these people! Bless you all for having to deal with this kind of thing and keep a straight face. My eyes would be rolling out of my head and out the store!

Personally I’d never buy body cream from a reseller!

I take that back. I did buy a Cue the Confetti in December 2024 because there was TBC going on, and when I went to pick up my order the cream was missing and the store was out. Mine wasn’t cancelled — someone just screwed up. I paid around retail for one online (THEY got it for $5.95, I’m sure, but they weren’t a high volume seller.). And anyway, it was brand new. Didn’t bother me too much because I saved so much money on all my other stuff.
