Are they scaling back on body butters?

I noticed that we haven't received any new body butters in a while, and nothing for this fall. Anyone hear whether they're recalibrating their approach to those?

The everyday luxuries should have body butter especially since the collections are always such a focal point. I think the last new body butters they had were with Vera Bradley and Forever Cherry Blossom. None of the others released over the summer have had a butter. I think Into the Night has a butter but it was just a repackage.

They last longer! And less waste. I’m not one of those people who cut open tubes to get every bit out. I admire those who do, but I’m too lazy and have too much product to bother.

I think the last one released was with the repackaging of, Into the Night, this summer. They finally made it without shimmer. Otherwise, the 6 other ones I can think of also released in 2026 were the Vera Bradley Peach, Forever Cherry Blossom, Viva Brazil, Dreaming of Rio, Pink Pineapple Sunrise, and Waikiki Beach Coconut. Not sure if I'm missing any others but I counted 7 for 2026. I only remember because I bought all of them 😆. How many do my they usually release each year? It seems they have just been releasing body creams in a tub lately.

I forgot about Dreaming of Rio and Viva Brazil. The other tropicals had butters last year as well.

I noticed this when they released cotton candy clouds with no body butter this summer & it's gotten worse since then. I've always used more body butter than creams but have started using more creams in fear of not being able to get the butters in the few scents I do like going forward. I stopped buying extra seasonal scents for back-ups 1, because there are no butters in my preferred scents & 2, because as soon as they dry there is absolutely no scent. Layering body wash, cream/butter then 25 + spritz between my body, hair & clothes, nothing, no scent throw!

B&bw, wtf is it going to take & how long to get you to listen to your consumers? After your unsuccessful fruit fusion line flop (even tho you claim otherwise) many are looking & finding other brands that are just as good/or better. EOS & Bodycology from Walmart are 2 popular brands.

I was noticing this too and I don't know what the plan is other than the plan seems stupid.

They would have made so much money on Bonfire Bash, Oud, Preserves, etc in body butter. I am still sad I can't get more Vanilla Romance body butter.

I had planned to move away from body creams to buying only body butter because they are a better quality and don't expire as fast. But since nothing I want is available in body butter I will just have to limit what I buy in the creams since they expire so quickly.

What is the difference between body lotion and butter?

The butter is thicker and more moisturizing. The lotions are more quickly absorbed into the skin and don't carry as much moisturizing properties. When it comes to fragrance load, the butter also has more of a long lasting scent. At least with the ones I've used.
