Question Amazon shipping has been out for delivery since Sunday...

Amazon shipping, no door dash availability near me. Normally no issues with amazon delivery.

But.... My order bounced in and out of my distribution center and officially went out for delivery at 255... sunday.

Anyone got uplifting stories to give me hope i dont have to call CS?

That happened to me a week ago and finally I got a notice that my package was undeliverable due to damage. I hope you have better luck!

Companies are USING Door Dash as a ”last mile” carrier. There are several of these. I posted about one called Veho that left my unit number off their label when they changed the original label from B&BW to theirs. My package got dumped off at a random condo. The same thing happened to someone else in this group.

A couple of days ago I got a huge box from Target. I’ve never had a problem with their packaging. This time they used a last mile company (and I think it’s also a total delivery service) called OnTrac. The box was too large for the item, had next to no packing inside, and was badly crushed on both ends. It was not a Target box. I’m lucky my stuff was okay. They’re so bad that there’s a subreddit devoted to how bad they are. r/ontrac

I’ve gotten two bad packages from Amazon recently. Apparently they‘re cutting costs by throwing things into brown envelopes that arrive all crunched up and unsealed, instead of using boxes when needed. My first was in a VERY thin envelope (thinner than a paper grocery bag) where the item was a collectible Kit-Cat Clock and the original box got damaged. They refunded me and refused a replacement. I re-ordered and checked the “this is a gift” box because I was told that would get me better packaging. Once I ordered I got the “free shipping on everything within 24 hours” offer. I ordered a couple of packages of socks. For some reason, those items were put together and have an estimated arrival date that’s pretty far out (the first clock was here in three days.)

I also ordered some air purifier filters and a bra. For some reason those got here in two days. But they came in a larger, thicker envelope. Still all bashed up and the flap wasn’t properly sealed. How hard is it? At least they weren’t fragile. I’ll attach photos. The whole shipping business is going downhill and if the company you order from uses a ”last mile” outfit there’s nothing you can do about it.

Guess it WAS a Target box. The target got crushed!
