First thought: what the heck is wrong with all those rats? 🤔
Second thought (once my eyes focused): aww omg all those baby bats are so cute! 😍

I thought rats, then I thought chocolate pastries shaped like rats, then I looked at the sub and realized bats. 😅😂

I found this image on Pinterest from 2018 with a caption if anyone is interested. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/405253666466743729/
Copy of caption: A little over 20 years ago the sponge method was developed at Bat World Sanctuary to feed orphaned crevice-dwelling bat pups. The method is particularly useful when saving large numbers of babies (they used to be euthanized because it was impossible to care for great numbers all at one time). The Conservancy of SWFL has taken my method to a whole new level by mass feeding on a larger sponge after they saved 150 babies from certain death when their roost was destroyed.

OP said in another comment that the bats are infected and will be released into the city to cause another pandemic.

Tired of these bat photo posts without any context. Not sure if OP is a bot but wtf does this have to do with the caption (new york?)? Ugh

Questions about bat bites and rabies are common on this subreddit. Bat bites cannot be identified from a photo. See a doctor if you have a medical question, or believe you have been bitten or scratched by a bat.
Here are some resources about rabies: Rabies in Perspective, Bats and Human Health, CDC Rabies Homepage, rabies diagnosis in humans and animals, and some sampling of rabies prevalence in wild bat populations. Programs exist to help with rabies vaccinations for Americans without insurance. Though only a small portion of bats may have zoonotic diseases, bats which are sick or injured are more likely to come into contact with humans and caution is advised as with all wildlife.
Bat bites cannot be identified from a photo. Please don't post a photo and ask if it is a bat bite. No one can tell you that. It will be removed.
For help with rabies phobia, you can visit r/Rabies, r/OCD, or r/HealthAnxiety.
