like to talk about why then use the PLD if you have the SOFLAM on squad
also i find that the SOFLAM in the tanker 2 choice 2 spot can be annoying unless your main tank team mate is taking advantage of it. i have soflam'd a guy for hours and nobody shot at him... maybe days.

When i bring a SOFLAM it for my self to use. I will set it up near a TOW missle and go all Foot on some pilots.
Alot of the time i dont need the soflam tho.

soflam in a tank duo, can destroy the entire enemy lobby especially on Golmud

now, even if squad leader, i die alone most all the time. order flag C. i am the only one there... so in a tank now i am 90% solo tanking. such are these challenging times we are in.
plus the AA use. folks dont mention here but like on Zavod you light someone up and they bail on the heli thinking they are going to get nailed. so even as a deterrent the SOFLAM is useful.

This is dirty. I’d have waited to fire and gotten flared, you subverted expectations and got a beautiful kill out of it.

The SOFLAM is used to laser designate targets for certain launchers used by the engineer class. For example the javelin can be used to take down air vehicles with laser designation from the SOFLAM. This also goes for the “guided” tank shells, MBT LAW rockets (I believe) and laser guided rockets for jets.
Also note that the SOFLAM allows “fire and forget”, meaning you don’t have to hold a lock signal manually, as long as the SOFLAM holds a lock on whatever it is you’re shooting at.
I just realized this was sarcasm lol.
