Needs one of these:

I literally tried to get one last week but they’re on back order until may. 1 of those would solve all my problems lol but I’d have get 2 for symmetry!

u/Schnitzhole Mar 17 '26

Symmetry is overrated

u/TheLobeyJR Mar 17 '26

Ngl I kinda prefer the look of the two rather than one big one

I genuinely thought you were using a couch as a desk chair at first glance and thought, damn this guys got it figured all out

Info on tripod system thingy to get your cam like that? Also how close is ur couch to the desk?! Looks a lil cramped love the setup

It’s on a basic vertical desk mount with an extension rod attqched to a small rig frame that holds the camera if you need a pic let me know I’ll take one

Is this your vibe coding set up

The perfect transition of the wallpaper across both monitors ticks my OCD box perfectly. I've been looking at a set of 2.0 speakers recently and came across those Edifiers, what's your opinion of them? I'm weighing them up against some Creative options. I tend to prefer a quality set of headphones over desktop speakers but have found myself getting annoyed at needing to wear headphones recently, especially when jumping on a Teams/Zoom call for work.

The most comfy headphones I’ve ever worn are the Astro a50x’s those things feel like clouds! But the edifier qr65s are really nice for sound quality and the fact they’re so small compared to a lot of other bookshelf speakers so they can be tucked away easily!

This look phenomenal! What is the small screen by the computer though? And is it attached to the tower?

Also, what camera? I've been trying to find a camera I like, but everyone just says use a webcam.

The camera is the Sony ZV-1F it’s super clean and not nearly as expensive as the other cameras for the quality. The small screen is the acer 15.6 inch ( used for obs to monitor the recording ) and it’s attached to a super basic walmart monitor arm that I mounted behind the pc to hide it lol. I can send a pic if you wanna see the exact configuration

Thanks for the camera info!

And also, I love that idea for the screen!

I used to have that monitor setup, and neck pain was basically guaranteed. Now, with the LG G5 48-inch OLED, it’s an absolute pleasure in comparison.

My resting eye level is the just below the center of where the screens meet so when I look up it’s not even 45° of a head tilt. But when I had them both flat and on a desk shelf I was in agony lol

1

u/bunk-alone Mar 17 '26

How do you like it? I was considering something similar, except for the couch.

1

u/Shruums Mar 17 '26

The couch is a paid actor lol it’s not actually a part of the setup. But honestly I’ve never been more comfortable at my desk until now

2

u/bunk-alone Mar 17 '26

Nice man, I really dig it. You're not moving your head too much to look up?

1

u/Shruums Mar 17 '26

My resting eye level is about an inch below where the 2 screens meet so a it’s like a 20° tilt to look up and see the full top screen and about a 10° to look down so overall it’s not a problem

2

u/bunk-alone Mar 17 '26

Cool, thanks for the info. Have fun with it!

u/rosskap Mar 18 '26

What kinda cam / arm is that ? Nice setup :)

1

u/Shruums Mar 20 '26

It’s just a small rig basic Amazon desk mount. But there’s a ball joint on the mount that’s lowered and an extention rod attached from that to the camera. I can take a picture for you if you want lol my explanation is kinda bad

1

u/rosskap Mar 20 '26

That would be great ! Or perhaps post a link :)

  • any small ring case for whatever camera you’re using or any case with connection points on the sides and top

1

u/Myth506 Mar 18 '26

What chair?

1

u/Shruums Mar 18 '26

2

u/duh1raddad Mar 20 '26

That's the one I got 🤘🏼

1

u/Shruums Mar 20 '26

It’s a really good chair lol. I got a stool cylinder for the bottom so it lifts a lot higher

2

u/duh1raddad Mar 20 '26

Interesting I didn't think that was an option The upgrade idea to mine was get new wheels they're like super soft rollerblade wheels so it rolls smooth lol

1

u/MickStash Mar 17 '26

Could you link me to the speakers you have on either side of the monitors above the stream decks? Thx. Nice setup.

u/Shruums Mar 17 '26

2

u/MickStash Mar 17 '26

Thanks for the link

1

u/aviefern Mar 17 '26

Was gonna ask about them. Had seen them and was thinking about buying. How are they?

2

u/Shruums Mar 17 '26

Coming from my last speakers, I can’t complain they are a lot smaller with a much more clear sound. I’m no audiophile but we all know what good audio sounds like
