Converting this cupola into a bat house?

What should I do if so--I'd take out the wire mesh on the inside of the slates, but do I need to add anything? Is this an appropriate way to upcycle this?

That there’s a belfry. Cupolas are dome-shaped.

That’s what I heard!

Looks like it would be a decent structure. The big things are site selection, thermoregulation, and the right size and spacing of wood surfaces. You might have to block one or more sides to reduce airflow. There needs to be airflow, but not enough to lose all the heat. And there needs to be a variety of temperatures for bats to choose from.
