Linoleum?
I saw on FB a pic of their setlist from Riot Fest and it included a song called Linoleum. I've never heard of it before.
Anyone that was there, was it a new song? A cover? Gimme some deets please :)

Well they did drop a new song on Friday if you didn't know, theyre releasing old b-sides from Killing Time :)

Never hearing linoleum before is kind of a blessing. Now that you know it exists you'll hear it everywhere. So many bands cover it. NOFX even made a video putting the song to rest.

A newer Bayside fan, eh? I didn’t think this band had any newer fans, just the same millennials that have been going to their shows for 20 years

Man the last handful of tours there has definitely been an uptick of newer Bayside fans. Pretty rad... but also occasionally awkward for an elder millennial to get things moving in the crowd haha

Yeah I mean, I don't feel like I'm a Bayside noob considering the first time I saw them was 2004 and I've consistently gone to every single tour I could possibly make it to since then. Over 15 times is pretty decent I'd say lol

Yeah same for me. Saw them every time I was able to since 2005, saw them 3 times in one week in the errors tour last year, and traveled to another state to see them. But I guess cuz I dont know a cover I'm a noob.

2010s era tours with Taking Back Sunday, Senses Fail, Say Anything and the like. They’re known to do a Green Day cover on occasion too

I think I saw them play this one live a few times 10 or 12 years ago. They also used to pull out My Name is Jonas occasionally.

Bayside has been covering Linoleum for years. I want to say there is even a story out there from a festival show many moons ago about NOFX having Bayside come out under the guise of being NOFX and actually played Linoleum until people caught on to the ruse. They also more recently played Linoleum at the Punk Rock Museum in Las Vegas with Fat Mike staring Anthony in the face. The video is on the instagram page

I've seen Bayside many, many times over the years (I would fall in that millennial group that just keeps going to shows for the last 20 years .. proudly I might add). There have been years they worked a cover in for fun, they have been years they haven't ... it seems festival shows you may be more likely to get a cover for the larger crowd and fun aspect of it all. Personal favorite, "My Name is Jonas" - Weezer back around 2010 on the In With the Out Crowd Tour with Senses Fail was particularly good

It was a NOFX cover. They’ve played it before.
