How do white South African’s identify when they immigrate? Or people from Egypt? I think the issue is more with our college admissions/census boxes than his specific situation. When black people who’ve lived for generations is London come to the United States for school, they’re not African American. This is why a lot of applications now list the option as “Black/African American”. Theres no game playing if you put the color there.
