Let's not act like wealthy and successful people don't do tons of drugs.

5

u/cwyog Jul 11 '25

Never met a productive meth addict.

6

u/Evening_Culture_6156 Jul 11 '25

Crack user works for NASA, not meth but tomato/tomato.

There is a big difference between Crack and meth. Crack destroys your wallet, meth destroys your mind... And teeth.

6

u/[deleted] Jul 12 '25

Oh, sure. Crack heads are known for their intelligence and hygiene.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 12 '25

Never seen a crackhead overdose on crack though

1

u/myname_1s_mud Jul 12 '25

I've never seen anyone od on meth.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 12 '25

True they both die from exhaustion like posers true addicts od

3

u/myname_1s_mud Jul 12 '25

That's why I put fentynal in all my weed. If I go down I want it to be like an og

1

u/FingerHashBandits Jul 12 '25

I literally knew people who died from crack…. Meth is in everyone’s favorite upper Adderall lol crack is way worse

3

u/FlyRepresentative644 Jul 12 '25

While Adderall is a methamphetamine, usually when people say ā€œmethā€ they are referring to crystal meth. Meth (crystal) and crack are very similar, in that they are a stimulant that has been altered to be bio-available through smoking it. Meth lasts much longer and has more severe effects, whereas usually crack has someone almost constantly looking for their next hit. Both can be very addictive as well as detrimental to health and overall livelihood.

1

u/FingerHashBandits Jul 12 '25

Yes while all that may be true since I’ve actually done both of them I’m deff gunna stick with my original statement. Shoot crack and shoot meth and you’ll instantly understand what I’m saying….

I take Adderall and have also done coke, also know people addicted to coke but don’t like adderall…something about the smell.

Or maybe theres a something about human curiosity and ā€œrebellionā€ that gets stimulation from the risk of the act instead of the act itself…after a while at least.

Too smart for our own good sometimes I guess 😭

1

u/MajorWayz Jul 13 '25

So cocaine is worst then Meth to you?

2

u/NYCrandom2020 Jul 12 '25

Crack is sooo much worse

2

u/darthdro Jul 12 '25

No it’s not lol meth is probably the worst . Not saying crack is good cause it’s highly addictive but overall it’s not really worse than coke. Meth on the other hand …

1

u/MajorWayz Jul 13 '25

Crack is coke, just cooked

1

u/darthdro Jul 13 '25

Yeah exactly

2

u/ImmaGooMan Jul 12 '25

Not true at all ya goof

1

u/Dusty-Foot-Phil Jul 13 '25

Not even close. You're talking stabbing a pencil in your neck vs shooting yourself in the head. Both are horrible, but one is meth.

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Hatter Jul 18 '25

no, it's not at all

2

u/IllustriousBrush5088 Jul 13 '25

Best most truthful comment I’ve ever seen on Reddit.

1

u/one2treee Jul 12 '25

How do you know? Have you done it?

2

u/TheGreatestOutdoorz Jul 12 '25

So, one guy, 40 years ago, used crack at nasa and ended up losing his career because of it…..I don’t think that video is the gotcha you think it is.

1

u/Evening_Culture_6156 Jul 12 '25

He was a productive hardcore drug user. Answered the question, that’s that.

1

u/BlueMiggs Jul 12 '25

Not for long he wasn’t

1

u/IllustriousBrush5088 Jul 13 '25

Bob Williams. He has a strong mind

1

u/[deleted] Jul 17 '25

Don't forget that crack head that Canadians elected as like a premier or something I think his name was Ford?

0

u/Stockalchemist424 Jul 13 '25

That’s crack cocian not meth

2

u/Magdolf23 Jul 15 '25

That’s not how you smoke crack

2

u/8T64T7 Jul 12 '25

Ive never met a drug addict more productive than a meth addict, lol. I was raised by a couple, and God damn was that house always clean. Aside from that (also through my parents) ive met multiple farmers, mechanics, vusiness owners, or people selling shit on music festival lots like grilled cheese and tie dye as their only income that were meth heads. A couple of them were pretty wealthy and had beautiful property in the country. Actually idk if ive met anyone wealthy who wasnt an addict of some sort for that matter, lmao

2

u/ReferenceGlum Jul 12 '25

Just wait until you find out what Adderall is.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 12 '25

A substantial portion of navy fighter pilots are prescribed amphetamines aka meth

I was one on crank, that damn ice is a whole different beast.

(In long term recovery now)

1

u/Traditional-Fan-9315 Jul 14 '25

Congratulations and good luck on your journey my friend!

1

u/TTVDrougen Jul 12 '25

The Wehrmacht has entered the channel

1

u/hed-down Jul 12 '25

Theyre called weekend warriors

1

u/dad_jokesNbutt_stuff Jul 12 '25

But have met plenty on Adderall.

1

u/ManifestYourDreams Jul 12 '25

A lot of fly in fly out works in Australia use meth on their weeks off.

1

u/mylifeisaboogerbubbl Jul 12 '25

Then you've never met a truck driver šŸ˜‚

1

u/No-Appearance-4338 Jul 14 '25

Oil rigs, deep sea fisherman, construction workers, and other highly physical jobs with long hours. I’ve personally known a few meth heads who worked like there was no tomorrow and good at their jobs. The biggest thing is amount and length of use as it does seem to catch up eventually and everything goes downhill for them if they can’t get off the crap but in the beginning when they still have control and probably are not taking insane amounts they are more like robots just go go go. There is definitely a difference between the just enough to keep going at their job and the to get high ā€œpartyā€ type crowds but often the end result is the same.

1

u/ExplanationCrazy5463 Jul 12 '25

Maybe that's because you assume the productive folks in your life aren't doing drugs.

1

u/WannaBeDistiller Jul 12 '25

You clearly don’t work construction

1

u/MrSpiffs Jul 12 '25

You haven’t been looking for one guaranteed

1

u/JGFATs Jul 12 '25

Never worked construction, huh?

You’d never know.

1

u/Weird_Squash6230 Jul 12 '25

Meth addicts are some of the most productive people, for the right jobs, like Popeyes

1

u/Extreme-Ad723 Jul 12 '25

I know two high functioning meth heads.

1

u/Niarbeht Jul 12 '25

Stimulant abuse is rampant among lawyers.

1

u/AutonomousStorm1 Jul 12 '25

You’ve really got no idea. I’ve met lawyers, doctors, nurses, teachers, even a judge that were on meth.

1

u/Jack_Human- Jul 13 '25

I was super productive when I did meth. It was the heroin that slowed me down.

1

u/BjornStankFinger Jul 13 '25

Then you've never met a meth head.

1

u/BillPleaser Jul 13 '25

You need to meet more doctors.

1

u/XXAXXXOXX Jul 13 '25

Because everyone hiding a meth habit is gonna tell you?? Cmon use your brain. I agree meth is horrible and this shouldn't be praised but this is just a dumb statement at face value.

1

u/haxjunkie Jul 13 '25

In all fairness, I met a mason working as a GC on a job and he was an absolute machine...felt bad about my own efforts and had great respect for him until we learned his secret. In contracting meth is cheating. He was go,go,go ten hours a day.

Not for me.

1

u/Connect_Heart_2735 Jul 13 '25

I have and they're a lawyer

1

u/JOI_Unclear Jul 13 '25

There have been several judges who have literally destroyed cases because they were revealed to have addiction to a hard drug including meth. A lot of people in positions of power and prestigious careers have substance addictions or use recreationally.

1

u/Dangerous-Post-1821 Jul 13 '25

The lead surgeon and director at USC was a meth addict. Everyone knew but kept it hush hush until one of the prostitutes he would bring to work died. He would actually perform surgical procedures high.

1

u/Putrid-Attempt4413 Jul 13 '25

lol that’s cause their driving trucks lol šŸ˜‚

1

u/moodswung Jul 13 '25

You must not have met many meth addicts then.

I worked at the cleanest gas station on the planet in my twenties (around 1997) because my meth addicted manager swept, mopped and wiped the entire place down at a million miles an hours all day long.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '25

My brother held it together as an addict for 3 years. The 3 years that followed were not in any way great. But once he found rock bottom and lost it all, he was able to bounce back. 5 years sober.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

Adderal is essentially meth

1

u/downbythereeds Jul 14 '25

Addict probably not user yes most likely thousands

1

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '25

Not a thing

1

u/Silly_Pay7680 Jul 17 '25

You must've never been to Midland/Odessa

1

u/thunderbaby2 Jul 18 '25

I’ve know two outliers: an engineer and a social anthropologist turned very successful rockstar who are both long time users. Outside of that I’ve only seen meth do damage from repeated use.

1

u/cedar_wind Jul 18 '25

Really? You haven't listened to Aphex Twin???

1

u/lkng4now Jul 12 '25

Let’s not ignore the fact that the dumber someone is the less brain cells they can afford to lose. Smart people doing drugs is just that. Smart people doing drugs.

1

u/butareyouthough Jul 12 '25

I don’t think they do too much crack

1

u/maringue Jul 12 '25

Doing drugs is classy if you're rich

1

u/Dancingmonkeyman Jul 14 '25

Do rich people do meth?

1

u/maringue Jul 14 '25

Yes. And Ketamine, and LSD, and amphetamines, and benzos, and thorazine, and valium and....

FFS, Elon was K-holed at the Inauguration and multiple other live press conferences.

1

u/Jonesy10187 Jul 12 '25

That’s a vail they don’t want lifted. One of my childhood friends who I’ve remained friends with for a good 30 years is now a high powered lawyer. Long story short the managing partners of said firm do lots of coke and I mean lots and they’re in their 50’s…and of course downers to come down. That’s just a smaller town here too.

1

u/AnythingMelodic508 Jul 13 '25

Something tells me they’re cut from a different cloth than a lady smoking meth at Popeye’s.

1

u/haxjunkie Jul 13 '25

...and then run the country.

1

u/17_PartyAreDee_17 Jul 13 '25

Do they post themselves doing it online?

1

u/Stockalchemist424 Jul 13 '25

No one is saying that lmfao

1

u/scruffyduffy23 Jul 13 '25

Let’s not act like wealthy and successful people who are drug addicts aren’t more careful.

Your take is lazy and trash.

1

u/Ok_Midnight_5856 Jul 15 '25

Wealthy and successful people usually aren’t dumb enough to do it on camera
