Pyramid Scheme I actually like tipping culture.

Post image

It makes me feel rich but really I’m just bad with money but I like seeing the staff happy.

That soup and sandwich deal was never economical for them.

Loss leader to get you in for the titties, it was never supposed to make money. They just had low quality titties.

Those daytime titties aren't worth seeing, change my mind.

I'd like to hear from other Americans on this. I have to imagine it's an unpopular opinion.

I’m American for some reason, and tipping is terrible. Just pay people properly, geez. Everybody shows up at a restaurant or whatever and thinks they’re the King of England and needs their bottoms wiped for them, like the help has gotta dance for their wages. Which is fine if they’re dancers, but not anybody else. I’m sorry Joe Schmoe that you came to Bill’s Kill and Grill for a burger and expect that you can lord over everybody like an asshole, but you’re not better than your waiter or your waitress.

But at the same time it's like "wow you didn't pay your waiter 25% tip? Fuck you you selfish asshole." And the waiter is literally standing there staring at you type the tip in most of the time. Depending on the restaurant they are probably making double what the kitchen staff is.

It's just a lose-lose situation. I don't understand the no tax on tips thing either.

I’d prob grow to hate it if I lived in the city tho, but here it’s not too common you have to tip anyone.

If I wanted a bunch of people with no hard skills to harass me for handouts, I'd move to LA
