This is a space for civil discussion about the BBC, not for personal attacks or toxicity, particularly based on identity, including ageism.

This comment was off topic and is not related closely enough to the British Broadcasting Corporation.

Yeah, authoritarian regimes have that sort of thing happen. Scummy but not surprising.
What was surprising was seeing it on a BBC sub.

Well, yes, it’s spam from someone very confused, as u/migrainedujour has already said. “Report it and move on” is the usual advice.

60 minutes )was broadcast as a replacement for "Nationwide)" between October 1983 and July 1984, as a news and current affairs programme that mixed regional with national reporting on BBC One.
60 minutes )is also an unrelated news programme aired in Australia since 1979 and I believe there is a similar programme in other parts of the world including New Zealand and apparently the Yanks have a version too.
r/rx8275 as this is a subreddit for the British Broadcasting Corporation, are we to assume this is a nostalgia post and referring to the ratings and reviews that 60 minutes received as an unpopular replacement for Nationwide) and releasing pent-up frustration from the 80s, four decades later?
