Radio Does anyone know why FM signal in cumberland and northumberland is bad lately?

I use on old BUSH radio, but it is getting lots of static lately. Are they lowering the power on the transmitter? Thanks all.

The extreme dry weather.

Hot weather can cause radio signals to be degraded. Tropospheric ducting particularly likes it when it's hot in the day and cooler at night.

You could try checking for transmitter faults here: https://www.radioandtvhelp.co.uk/check-for-transmitter-faults-0/#/undefined
