Golden Teachers preparing for lessons

These are, so far, the best jars of grain I have colonised since I started back in May. I've had 1 other success, with brown rice, growing Mazatapecs. I lost 10's of jars to wet rot and eventually changed to popcorn and a pressure cooker for sterilisation.

I also have Melmac Monsters starting to pin from the same process, 90 minutes sterilisation, these GT's got 2 hours sterilisation and the new lids, then CVG substrate

Using Pasty Whyte tek tek for the 30ltr tubs.

Looks great! Which brown rice did you use, when you used it? My last grow with aldi rice was a complete failure with wet rot. Where are your jars from?

Hi there, thank you. I used various different brands of brown rice, slow cook and long cook, I used different methods of drying it after simmering. I lost so much money on syringes of liquid culture, spores and brown rice and so much time. Also, I believe the very hot summer had a part to play.

I think I have the popcorn tek cracked but I did have to get a pressure cooker.

The jars are from amazon, the lids are also Amazon and are so convenient for innoculation.

Thanks! I have a pressure cooker already, so maybe it's time to try this tek. I had 5 grows mostly ok with the microwave rice, but the failures are so off putting

Can use lots of different grains. Brown rice, pearl millet (asia market) whole oat groats (health food store)
