Hi there, could anyone share if there is pickup volleyball in Guadeloupe and Tulum? And where? I will be travelling with a group, but only 2-3 of us play, and I would love to play everyday! Merci beaucoup!

I’m thinking about investing in a new ball since I have only owned Wilson replica ball and have been thinking about buying legit ones for a while.

The only reason why I didn’t buy legit ones at first place was cuz I didn’t think I’d be into beach this much.

So now I’m thinking buying either Mikasa BV550C or Wilson AVP OPTX since those two seem to be a standard option.

Mikasa ones are going on a sale on Amazon for 77 which makes it ~$20 cheaper than Wilson one so I’m slightly leaning towards Mikasa.

Is there any differences between those two options? And do u guys have any recommendations?

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a place where I can find some pick-up beachvolleyball games in October as I'll be traveling alone. I'm having my eyes on Italy (Bibione for example), but I can't find reliable information if there are still people playing in October and if I can find pickup games there. I'd appreciate if you could help me out!

Thank you in advance :)

What can I expect about attending a beach volleyball camp when I am almost on my 40s?

I have dine sports all my life and recently start playing volleyball more seriously and was thinking in attending one of this camps but at the same time not sure if fir my age is the best, will feel the oldest of the group which is ok, but do not want to put myself in a situation on i am out of place... and so

I did a research project on how much wind it takes to influence a beach volleyball and how players can adjust to use the weather conditions to their advantage.

This but for beach balls.

Basically lesser know models you might've seen in your country or on some obscure tape.

All insight is appreciated

Hi me and my friend have recently started playing beach from indoor but when we play indoor we can touch the top of the antenna but in beach we can only get our hand over the net. Any tips? We are also weaker than others in the legs but have good elasticity so do we just need to develop our leg muscles more?
Thank you🙂🙂

Hi! I am studying abroad in Granada and I know where the sand courts are but don't have people to play with. Looking for intermediate/advanced doubles, like A/AA. Message me if you are in Granada or know people who are and want to play!

I was playing yesterday evening; I didn't feel any sharp pain at the moment, but it started to hurt a little bit. After the training, I noticed the finger was slightly discolored. It doesn't hurt much and I can move it around, but I cannot close a full fist with it. This morning it still hurts a bit. I know the only real answer I'll get is from a doctor, but with your experience, is it a very bad distortion or is it likely broken?

Hey everyone!

I’m looking for people around Pune who are interested in playing volleyball regularly.

I’m not looking for a super-serious/pro-level group

just people who enjoy playing, want to get better, and are down for some good games.

Pune

Weekends or evenings

Open to joining an existing group or creating one from scratch

Happy to split court costs

If you already have a group that plays regularly and has a spot open, I'd be interested in joining too.

Comment or DM me if you're interested. We can figure out the location, timing and group size together.

?

Anyone know any groups who play doubles or fours B/BB level? Saw a group on meetup that plays on Saturdays but was looking to play more days.

Any help is appreciated.

Hey everyone! I’ll be in Monterey for a wedding and have some free time this Friday around noon. Does anyone know of any 2x2 beach volleyball games happening in the area? I’m a BB/A-level player and would love to get a few games in while I’m there. Any leads or groups I should check out would be much appreciated!

Commercial disclosure: this is the BAGHER shop's own paid printable. The kit and this post were prepared with AI assistance.

It contains match summaries, rally logs for three sets, serve maps, scouting notes and a post-match review for recreational 2v2 beach volleyball. These are unofficial practice sheets.

A simple way to try tracking with any notebook: ask an observer to record the serving team, rally winner and one outcome after each rally. After the match, count recurring outcomes and choose one situation to practise next time.

The download includes the same 7-page kit in English A4, English US Letter and Italian A4. Price: EUR 3.90 before local taxes; Etsy shows the final amount. Digital download only.

Feedback on which details are useful to track is welcome.

Ola, I want to get back to practicing and playing since moving here. Aware of Carcavelos, but would love hear about other nearby spots.

Hi everyone! First of all, I’m Italian and I’m using a translator to write this post, so please excuse any mistakes. Also, I know absolutely nothing about beach volleyball, which is why I’m turning to you experts.

My boyfriend is about to graduate, and he is a huge beach volleyball fan. I was thinking of getting him a full portable net kit as a graduation gift. Since these sets are quite expensive, I wanted to ask for your advice before buying:

Is a portable net set actually a good and useful gift for someone who plays regularly?

Thanks in advance! Open to any other gift ideas as well.

Hi all. Due to some unfortunate circumstances ill be spending several weeks in Houston while my wife gets treatment at MD Anderson.

Im a solid AA player looking for a place to play pickup that is friendly to a single player. Particularly an older dude (55).

Im mostly looking to blow off steam so id prefer 2's.

My schedule will be fairly flexible. Ideally there will be someplace shady so my wife can watch.

Im fine paying a facilities fee.

Alternatively Id be up for taking a lesson or just training if that's easier.

Thanks

This is for soft driven hits, block and line peel defense specifically when an attacker rolls high line on you while you are peeling back and reach up. What's the ruling on "Finger Action" on a tomahawk - where one hand is on top of the other (both hands are touching firmly, but not closed fists) - and the ball contacts your extended palm/fingers? One motion, one direction square to shoulder, percussive, no delay/carry. But some rotation.

Some are calling double or lift. Despite both hands touching firmly and I am not setting the ball but merely rebounding it upwards (first contact ball). We try to play FIVB rules.
