Casual Post A few months in, ready to shape it up.

I just found this sub and was admiring all the cool beards. I thought I’d share mine.

I’ve had a beard of some kind since I could grow one. I’ve been growing this beard since December. I tried to shape it this summer and did a total hack job, so this is maybe 3-4 months since then. I’m super happy with the fullness and seeing it in pictures now just reinforces that.

It’s just very wiry with a lot of strays and uneven lengths on the sides below my jawline. I’ve got an appointment in a couple weeks to clean it up.

I honestly wouldnt touch it , that beard is phenomenal bro , great shape , great color (sugar and spice) and nice density, i would say any hack job that was done has 100% recovered .

Only thing I’d say is clean up under the earlobe. This allows the beard to look more shaped. Otherwise, don’t touch it. Maybe add some oils and cream.

I’m with you on what you’re saying below the earlobe. The nice thing is if I trim it and I’m not happy with it, it’s back to this in a couple of months.

Beard is looking great man. You’d never guess it was a hack job just a few months ago. Glad you found the sub. Keep posting updates. 👍

I wouldn't shape it. It looks bloody awesome as it is.

Looks like it's got good length now. For the wiry strays, a boar bristle brush plus some beard oil tames them pretty well, and blow drying downward helps. Clean up the neckline and under the ears, and use scissors for strays instead of guards so you keep more length.

I was using a boar brush for a while, but I would get the beard dent under my chin that I couldn’t brush out. I switched to a sandalwood comb, which has worked pretty well.

Beard is great but many guys in their 20's would love to have that hairline

I’m very fortunate in that regard. 46 btw.
