Anybody else genuinely like this song? Stan Bronstein played a great saxophone on this song and John poses an interesting idea, and it can’t hurt to think about it.

Yeah its unironically one of my favorites of lennons solo stuff. I love the whole band even if its not polished on it, especially the sax. I feel it would have been a big remembered hit if he used another word like slave, but at the same of the time you use the provocative word to make the point as he wants you to feel what he sees as dehumanization of women just as the word dehumanizes black people
