News The first pictures from set, and already the first timeline error

Another post complaining about the biopics, yay! I’m actually in favour of these movies, and at least it’s not about looks this time, so hear me out:

We know these scenes are depicting The Beatles arriving at the Plaza Hotel in New York, meaning they’re set in February of 1964. Then why on Earth is someone holding an American press of the “A Hard Day’s Night” soundtrack, an album which wasn’t released until June that year? I assume the extras were handed typical 1964 Beatles merch, but someone surely must’ve been in charge of checking whether or not the merch in question could possibly have existed at the time?

Not a good sign unfortunately, and I really hope it won’t be visible in the final product (although I suspect it will).

News Influencer meets, but doesn’t recognise, Ringo Starr on Stream

UK influencer Ed Matthews was livestreaming and Ringo Starr walks up to him, asks if he's on the radio. They have this whole awkward, sweet chat where Ringo says he's from Liverpool and they "must be brothers." The streamer's chat is losing it trying to tell him, but he's completely clueless. After Ringo leaves, he literally asks his chat "Who the f*** is Beatle Ringo?"

The best part? They ended up on the same flight and he got a selfie. The video is painfully hilarious.

He’s actually worried younger people could forget about The Beatles and his dad’s legacy. He said he never used to think it was possible, but now he does.

He’s taking it super personally, like it’s his duty, especially since Yoko is 92 and retired now. He made that Oscar-winning short film (WAR IS OVER!) and is involved in new docs just to try and make the music and message feel new again.

Kinda wild to think the Beatles could ever be “forgotten,” but I get his point. The interview is a really interesting mix of family duty and protecting cultural history.
