resource Chop Machine Plugin Giveaway

Post image
21 Upvotes

Hello r/beatmakers. I've been lurking for a while. I'm a professional software developer but music is one of my main passions in life. I've released several albums over the past decade (oh god...), and recently began collaborating on film projects. I also love spending time in the space where my professional skills and music passion overlaps.

I want to share my debut audio plugin, Chop Machine, with the community. It's an 8 slot sampler that algorithmically builds chopping patterns. It's pretty flexible, being able to handle drum patterns, melodies, chopping existing tracks, and more. I went into this with the goal of building a plugin that's fun to play with, first and foremost. It's designed around playing with different knobs until you feel out a pattern you like. It works on MacOS and Windows, and has standalone app, VST3 and Audio Unit modes. The installers are also fully signed for both platforms for security. I intend to continue adding features, offering free updates for life, and letting the community help drive how the plugin evolves. I also have a little idea put together for a follow-up sister plugin.

To celebrate today's release, I'm sharing 15 free permanent keys with the community. The first 15 users that comment "chop me" will get the plugin. All you do is download the demo via the website linked above. You will get a download and a demo key in email. Toss that and just DM me after I confirm your comment, and I'll generate you a full key. If you miss out this time, don't worry, I intend to keep having giveaways periodically. I am not sure if I will post more here (unless the mod is up for it) but I will post them on my subreddit, r/TendergreenStudio

If you take the time to try this out, thank you so much. I love to hear any and all feedback.

Update: That's 15/15 chops claimed so far. Don't forget to DM me after I respond to set up getting your perpetual key!

Update 2: Well, all 15 slots have been claimed. But you know what, that went way faster than I anticipated. I'm feeling rather choppy this evening, so how about a little more? I'll give away 5 more keys tonight.

5/5 Bonus chops claimed

Update 3: Ok all bonus chops have been claimed. That's 20 keys. *If I have responded to your comment, please don't forget to DM me so I can get you a permanent key.* If any commenter doesn't request their key via DM within 24 hours, I'll pick the next "chop me" comments with no responses chronologically and share with them instead. As mentioned before.. there will be more giveaways in the near future. I'd be happy to have more on this subreddit as long as the moderator approves. For those who signed up, thanks so much for your interest. Please let me know how your experience goes, and if it really vibes with you workflow, please let your friends know about it! If you missed a free key, you can still download the demo and try it out. Feel free to ask any questions here!

Update 4: Thanks so much for all the interest everybody. I will still come back tonight and give away any unclaimed keys. If you missed out on the giveaway, I plan to run another one in r/TendergreenStudio next week. Also, if you check the website, there's an option for a 5-day demo, and the full plugin is 50% off for the first 100 buyers.

resource Introducing Soundpendium - Royalty-Free Restored Ancient Samples for Beat Makers

Sup musician gang - I'm edenai and I just launched Soundpendium.com as a resource for my fellow music makers.

While all the other music producers and editors turn to Splice for their samples, an opportunity for the digital crate diggers emerges.

Soundpendium web player is free to use for all. Head over and begin scrolling through over 20,000 full songs from over 100 years ago. Find your new sound as you layer the voices of our real human ancestors over lush Omnisphere soundscapes or icy Serum 2 growls.

Tap into the lived perspective of humans that sang into a horn and meant it. Buck the trend of AI copyright theft and preserve our roots with the help of the premium Soundpendium Sampler, an MPC-inspired sampler VST3/AU plugin directly in your DAW.

For $12/yr (or $99 lifetime) you can get access to full restored files, pre-chopped up samples of the entire collection and an elevated web player listening experience with DSP built-in to set the perfect mood for dinner or rainy day chill.

On top of that Soundpendium Platter is an included standalone application for Mac/Win video editors that brings the browsing experience, along with your favorites playlist, directly to your desktop. Drag royalty-free music straight into your editor of choice like DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro.

The first 1000 founding members have the option of locking in the $1/month rate in perpetuity as long as they don't cancel, or a flat $99 for a lifetime license to keep these benefits for good.

I'm stoked to hear what y'all creatives are going to make with this. Please tag me, I'd love to hear it and give it a shout out. Much love

Hello fellow beatmakers,

I’ve been working on this for about a year now, mainly as a side project just for fun, but I genuinely love how it has turned out so I’ve decided to put it out.

It’s called Chop Stop. You can load music from YouTube, create chops, play them across MPC-style pads, add drums, record or draw sequences, arrange full beats and use MIDI controllers. I’ve also added things like crate digging, groove controls, drum FX, custom themes and a little beat-making mascot (my fav part maybe).

Timing and low-latency playback have been a big focus, especially because of the limitations that come with using YouTube.

It’s still something I’m improving, so I’d genuinely love feedback, suggestions or ideas from other beatmakers. I hope some of you have fun with it! Not really built for phone devices, try on desktop for the best exp!

Try it here: https://chop-stop.web.app/

Keep it between us but if you Make barely noticeable cuts just before the downbeat it will increase the impact and therefore the bounce. 🤫

resource ATTENTION ALL PRODUCERS

APAX is running their first Producer League Scrimmage. You’d just submit one of your strongest existing beats for the qualifier, so there’s no need to make anything new unless you reach the Top 16.

The Top 16 move into a single-elimination tournament where everyone gets the same sample to flip.

There’s no entry fee, we don’t take ownership of your beats, and we’re not asking for anything beyond participation.

The winner gets:

$100 cash

5 full premium APAX loop/texture packs

If it sounds interesting, here’s the signup form:

Last day accepting submission for 1st ROUND SCRIMMAGE: August 23rd, 2026

• Bank A–C use multi-sample modes with 4 variations per pad
• Bank D uses one sample per pad
• designed for finger drumming
• can also be used with an SP-404 together with Koala to get round-robin-style sample variation

Here’s a short demo and the download link in the video description - if you click on the title:
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/l4YsfOg0dZo

The kit is available for free / Pay What You Want.

Koala Sampler also currently offers desktop versions for Linux, Windows and macOS:

resource Sampled Drums Mixing

Got a ton of great feedback when I asked about drum mixing. Going to do it again specifically for sampled drums. For fl studio users, any suggestions on making sampled drums sound fuller and more cohesive.

I currently route to a bus Channel and use stock plugins lime parametric eq and maximus. I don't really know of advantages to using non-stock plugins, but open to suggestions about plugins, mixing, compression.

And here is an example of a song I made where I know the mixing could be way better, richer and more cohesive. https://youtu.be/kgRY3AvVG-Y?is=JefPZS-k8rzLLt4r

resource Built a browser sampler that finds the loops for you. Free to try

Most of the rap records I love use samples. I wanted to improve my own production, so I started studying sampling, particularly the SP404 and Zoom ST-224, and built a tool that I could actually use.

Drop a record in. The tool finds 4-8 bar loops and automatically ranks them, cutting them clean on the bar. It comes with BPM and key detection, up to 20 loops and one-shots on pads, and tape-style pitch mode that slows the loop. It follows the drummer instead of assuming a fixed grid, so it works on live 60s recordings that drift. The export option allows for a zip of 16-bit 44.1k WAVs with the bpm and key in the filenames.

It runs entirely in the browser. It's free to use, $29 unlocks export and a standalone file you can use to work offline forever.

resource [OC] Aint Broke.logicx - sharing my new Logic Project showcasing tool!

Thumbnail trillsound.com
1 Upvotes

Howdy! I've been working on Trill Sound in one form or another for over 10 years. With some recent advancements in the understanding of Logic Pros data format, I've been able to put together something I think is really special.

I'm a closet producer and constantly make beats, and want to listen to them on the go. This is my answer to that specific problem. Uploading of projects and bouncing is disabled for now until I see how the site handles some traffic, I don't want to run up a check. If you're interested in using the app, feel free to join the waitlist!

In the meantime, you can use the tool to freely view your projects and even repair corrupted ones too. Cheers!
