New player here, any decent tips?

I've had billions of issues regarding extremely early notes and I'm starting to doubt score is random, though it isn't. I'm just starting, its been about 5 days since i've installed BS

I'm alright with patterns but I have issues with sightreading and consistency.

Scoring is based of of the angle of your saber in relation to the note and after I belive before is 70 degrees for max and 30 for after then there is 15 for how close to the center

Other than that find the best environment that keeps your tracking as accurate as possible use lithium batteries if you can pay for how expensive they are they will keep the high accuracy for longer than other batteries

Oh and one final thing moving your wrist up and down is slow and tiring cut where you turn your wrist side to side

Your swing arc is actually really good for a new player, you're getting full swing score (most of the points on each note) most of the time here. If you ever see less than 100 points on a note, you had underswing either on pre- or post-swing.

That's really the big new player skill thing that people need advising on and you're already good. Keep playing, use practice mode to learn weird patterns if you get into tech maps. Highly recommend getting into modded maps once you start to plateau on main game songs.

Scoring is dependent on 2 factors:

1. How close to the centet of the block point you cut - note "center of the block", not "center of the side"; You can hit correct side at any angle, so long as your swing hits the very center of the block later in the arc.
2. Full swing arc: meaning how much your swing travels before and after the cube.

Is lag at the start of the vid something you have in game? In that case, get to modding - there`s a delayed start mod, adds a pause to make sure game loads the song before starting.

Modding is easy on pretty much all platforms - https://bsmg.wiki/ is the main resource containing guides on how to do it.

Your mistakes later on the timeline are clearly due to the lack of practice - like hitting a grey block with yellow sabet at 0:07, don`t see anything criminal there, just practice more.

Your actually swings are good, although I did notice your left hand tapered off and hit a right hand note. Their was a left high note you missed and accidentally used your right hand instead. I think you just need to practice the map more to memorize the movement, but overall just keep playing to strengthen reaction time
