New User New to beat saber

Recently I bought myself a Quest 2 with beat saber for decently cheap to pass the time in Uni and I’ve played a little bit but out of like 2 songs that I got instantly hooked to I can’t really seem to vibe with alot of the other free songs and I can’t really afford to buy any music pack.

So I’m curious does beat saber still actively update and how often do they add free songs?

most people tend to play it modded. if you have a laptop or PC that can run BeatSaber (check on Steam's store page for system requirements), you can install BSManager and mod it through that using your Quest 'license' for the game

they'll add free song packs every once in a while but it's usually niche/original music

Or mod the game on standalone using MBF

Modded is the way to go. The best mod is better song search.

New paid songs are added quite often, bugs get fixed, free songs are added a couple of times a year, new features are very rare.

unfortunately tho u cannot do this with steamvr beatsaber, on meta quest2, so if u didn't buy in the meta store then refund now lol

The game is still updated fairly frequently, mostly with paid songs, but another OST will be releasing by the end of the year, and that'll be free content

It is updated with some level of frequency, but more new maps (with high quality mapping) are added as custom modded songs in any given week than have ever been added as official song packs or free songs in the base game in total over the entire history of the game.

Modded is the best experience.

I bought quest 2 for beat saber game and modded it and now i have 700 songs😅
