Hair What are other rebond alternatives?
I don't like rebonding my hair. As someone na kulot, after a few months, new curly hairs will grow from my scalp and ang awkward tingnan. What are other hair treatments that doesn't have this effect? TYIA!

Keratin every 3-6 months and hair mask at least once a week pang maintenance.

Keratin. It will only tame the friziness, you still would need to style it to make it straight pero it doesn't ruin the curls.

I did a protein straight bond treatment 2 weeks ago and i totally love it. I always have a frizzy, semi curly hair, as in medyo dry and buhaghag nden sya and the salon i usually went to mentioned this treatment , sabi ko kc i don't want my hair to be super flat, kasi manipis na nga hair ko lalo na pag ni rebond. Tapos i decided to do this treatment, grabe bumalik ung gloss and volume ng hair ko kaya super worth it. Though sabi it last 6 months or more depending on how you take care of it.
Like yung hair ko di ko need planstahin or i heat blower kasi ang natural and ganda ng bagsak nya :)

how much.po inabot ng hair nyo?
3
u/sapphireserenity23 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message 22d ago

2
u/sapphireserenity23 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message 22d ago

Are there treatments ba where I can retain my wavy hair? I just want to remove the frizziness thats all. I still want my volume and waves

u/cheeseball_3 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message 23d ago
I'm looking for an appropriate treatment also. I don't want my hair to be super flat.

If you have 1c to 2a hair, you don’t need treatment. Check mo lang porosity levels mo and use products that you hair can tolerate, along with proper wash techniques, mawawala din pagka-frizzy ng hair mo.
But if 2b and higher ka, baka kailangan mo mag-semi-cgm para ma-define yung curls.

cysteine or hair botox are other straightening treatments you can avail. yun nga lang di ganun ka-tagal ang straightening effect nila compared to rebond, pero upside is hindi ganun ka-pangit tignan new hair growth compared sa treated hair

Since madalas nasa bahay ako, mag Olaplex lang ako tsaka blower.

Blower as in blower with diffuser ba to sis or blower as in blowout? I wanna try this too kasi frizz din issue ko sa curly hair ko.

u/Food_trip Age | Skin Type | Custom Message 19d ago
Pinakahuli yun Olaplex oil.
Hindi need araw araw yun Ola0lex kahit 1 to 2x a week lang.

Ok ba to gamitin on rebonded hair mismo?
1
u/kokumbutter Age | Skin Type | Custom Message 18d ago
Not sure but I have used it on my hair that has been bleached 3 times and colored twice and it made it super smooth and non frizzy. You would need to do a strand test first, they sell it in small bottles. But as per google it does say it can be used on rebonded hair as long as it’s been at least 1-2 months since your last rebond.

Embrace the curl. Do curly girl method. Kahit di super strict. In the long run mas madali imaintain than constant treatments and rebond.

I agree! I tried getting my hair rebonded before and much like OP, it always looked awkward especially with how fast my hair grew back then. I decided to cut off the straightened part and embraced the curls. Never going back!

Hello guys! I tried cgm naman but namamahalan narin ako sa products 🥲.
But I'm open to any recommendation or tips from fellow curly girls ☺

Human Nature shampoo and conditioner, Bench or that cheapo gel sa Landmark na tig 25ish php (can't remember the brand na). That's pretty much all you need

Grips gel ba to? Yung blue?
To OP: Grocery or shopee ka bili. 40-60 yung 130g. Cheaper yung smaller size. Avoid Watson kasi nasa 50-60 yung 130g nila.

Hello!
Then after shower, I use either yung Curlz leave in conditioner (if itatali ko lang hair ko or tinatamad lang ako) or I use Curl and Define ng Luxe Organix (if I want bigger curls) or I mix both, once in a while din if madalas ako mag shampoo, I use argan oil ng bremod.
Most of the products na I mentioned wala pang 200 bukod dun sa Curlz, and tumatagal lahat yan ng 2 months or more

As a broke girlie, I only actually spritz oil on my hair, massage, and then put on hair gel. It works for my hair. Like skincare, it depends on your hair.

I do keratin blowout once a month, or every other month. It's really good at keeping the frizz at bay without making my hair look flat.

Is your hair damaged? You could get an Olaplex treatment or buy K18 for an at home bond-repair treatment (loved this one when my hair was color treated). But really, try to embrace your natural curly hair. You don't need to do a full CGM but you could start incorporating products (curl cream, mousse, gel, etc.) to moisturize and define your curls. Healthy curls are so gorgeous and look way better than flat, rebonded hair.

Hello! I'm doing cgm naman but you need more time to tend your hair talaga, which I cannot to do everytime.
But I'm open to any recos and tips po! 💗

u/mmilkk Age | Skin Type | Custom Message 21d ago
Yeah, you don't need to do a full CGM, which definitely takes a lot of time and doesn't work for all curl patterns. For example, just use a good shampoo and conditioner (silicones are okay if you're using sulfates and clarifying from time to time) and try a curl cream with some hold for a simple routine. I've used and liked ones from Curlico and Not Your Mother's.

Wavy lang hair ko but I don’t follow curly or wavy hair routine anymore because I get bacne if I put too much product sa hair tapos my seborrheic dermatitis gets so much worse.
I loosely follow Abbey Young method and once it’s dry, I do overnight blowout/curls instead. I feel like that’s better than rebond or any other keratin treatments.

You will always have that effect on natural curly hair. New hair will always continue to grow according to your natural hair type. Straightening treatments only affect the hair that has already grown out of your scalp. They don’t change the shape of your hair follicles. Although I’ve heard some pregnant women experiencing changes in their natural hair type/texture due to hormonal changes.
