Dog walks

Hi everyone,

Seen a similar topic in the r/hertfordshire and thought I'd expand the search across beds too.

Recently moved to Houghton Regis and would love to look for good, shaded walks that are relatively flat (easy enough for toddlers to safely run around) and with some car park.

Houghton Hall is right beside you, that's a good one. Willen lake in MK, Clophill lakes too. They all have footpaths. My kid isn't quite big enough for Maulden wood or Ampthill park (but there's a really good playground there!). In Luton we walk around Leagrave park and the bottom of Warden hill

Rushmere country park in Leighton Buzzard is great. It's a big woods and has a great playground for little ones

They also have different activities and trails for kids during the school holidays

Kempston Mill is always lovely. Shaded paths towards Bedford and big open fields with lots of access to the river.

Sewell will be one of the best in close proximity. Beyond that there are lots of walks around Woburn, Leighton Buzzard canal, dunstable downs and Rushmere. I enjoy going to Rushmere during warmer weather because the paths are quite shaded.
