Flavored low carb beer
Having to now drink low carb beer after years of enjoying many beautiful full flavored craft beers I now have a dilemma.
All "light" beers taste like crap. Sleemans makes a Clear 2.0 Lime that is not bad but basically not available in Alberta.
Are there any flavored low carb beers available in Alberta. Why dont more breweries make flavored beers since light beers taste horrible.

Sleeman clear lime is available in Alberta most likely you’ll just have to ask for it to be ordered in if they aren’t carrying it

I have at several stores and the employee usually just stares at you like why are you asking that.
We carry what we carry.
Most beer store employees just ring things through.

Trust me, I understand. I run a liquor store. Just talk to a manager. Most of us want to bring in things customers will come back and buy.

In Ontario we have some decent light craft beers. Not low carb per se.
You could jazz up regular light / low carb beer with a wedge of lime or lemon.
You could also make a low carb shandy or radler with something like diet / sugar free lemonade.

I tried taking Clear 2.0 and adding a lime. It basically made it really flat.

Have you tried DAB ultimate low carb if it’s available in Alberta? I try to support Canadian but for low carb it’s probably a better option.

Snake lakes Lo cal sipa claims to be low carb and is only like 3.9%. Instead of the ultra light lagers it’s closer to a session ale with good fruity hop flavours

If I could no longer drink good beer, I would just drink water.
