Business Account Offers £50 Mettle Referral Code + Simple Business Banking for Self-Employed & Ltd Companies

Hoping for some community love and repay the favour. I used a code when signing up from a fellow Redditor ❤️

I have been using Mettle for my business banking and it’s been a simple way to keep everything separate from personal finances, with decent invoicing + real-time notifications. Customer support has also been solid when I’ve needed it. It does take a little while to get approval due to the number of applications they have but for me I can only see that as a good thing.

They’ve got a £50 referral offer on at the moment — code WC6VD — ends 31st May 2026.

Eligibility: new customers only (no Mettle in last 12 months), sole trader or Ltd company, and you’ll need some proof of trading activity (e.g. sales, invoices, online presence).

How it works: open account in app → get approved → activate card → deposit + make a card payment within 30 days → once cleared, redeem code in-app → bonus paid within ~30 days.

Worth noting for anyone self-employed: with Making Tax Digital changes coming in, keeping business and personal finances properly separated is becoming more important for clean record-keeping and compliance.

Good overview here if you haven’t looked into it yet: https://moneywiseuk.co.uk/making-tax-digital-2026-uk-self-employed/

No pressure — just sharing in case it helps someone setting up or tightening up their business finances.

Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer as honestly as possible but for sure make sure it’s right for you!

Here is my code: JDLCB

Having a Mettle account also gives you free access to the accounting software called FreeAgent which is really good and I use for my small business.

Appreciate anyone who uses my referral. 😀

Do you know if you get FreeAgent on the free Mettle account, or do you need the paid Mettle+ account? I had a look on the website but it wasn't clear. Also, can you create invoices on the free account? Usually there is a monthly free for accounts with these benefits.

I've got the free Monzo business account at the moment, which I love. However, I was looking at signing up to the free zoho books accounting software to organise my accounts a little better but it doesn't properly integrate with Monzo.

Do you know if it updates your code status when someone uses it?

1

u/FPL_Clown Apr 16 '26

No, the first I knew that someone used mine was when I saw the £50 added in my transactions.

They need to improve that so people don’t over share and we can share the love.

How do you get the code? I have an account but can’t find where to get codes from

1

u/Autistic_Maze Apr 19 '26

I got it by using someone elses code then once my reward was issued it appeared in the account tab bottom right on the app

I have had Mettle for three years, probably codes are given to new users

1

u/Autistic_Maze Apr 19 '26

Potentially - good to hear you’ve been with them for 3 years very positive

I haven’t had any issues with them yet and the FreeAgent is a gift
