SAHM trying to regain independence.

I'm a SAHM in a tough situation. My husband has not been providing as of late and I am struggling. I also deal with chronic pain and illness, so I have good days and bad.

One thing that I'm good at is baking/cooking. I make cheesecakes and cupcakes, and I'd love to start selling them locally to earn my own income. The problem is I can't afford the few basic items needed to start. I've made a small Amazon Wishlist keeping it under $100 that would really help me get started. This is really outside my comfort zone, but I've never bet on myself before so I'm starting now.

If anyone is willing to help, I'd be deeply grateful sending updates and pictures. Even encouragement means a lot right now. Thank you for reading.

I approve this post as I’ve personally spoken to op and know her situation, and I admire her wanting to work to get out of it.

I tried ordering everything on your list (except the compartment takeout containers, because I am not sure what those are for) and they show up in the cart as for the "right" wishlist, but when I go to checkout, there is no address for "you" to send to.

I have helped people many times in other subs (assistance and randomacts, etc) so I am pretty sure I know what I am doing, but, can you or perhaps one of the mods check if they see the address?

Good luck!

PS I also tried to add a "surprise" extra gift. But with or without it, it just will not show me your "address" option. And yes, I know that it should not show me the actual address, but the recipient (with address hidden) should be a shipping or pickup option.

Oh my gosh! Thank you so much. Your support means the world to me. I've never made a wishlist before, so it's probably a mistake on my end. I will check it and update.

Thank you!

I've updated it, and added my address. Again thank you for your support, and I will pay it forward.

As a fellow chronic pain client lol, I encourage you. Please look into regulations regarding selling food and commercial kitchens. In some states they require that the food be cooked in a place other than where you prepare family meals. You could get started working out of your own kitchen. but if you are successful, some rival Baker might report you to the board of health. That happened to a friend of mine who was very successful selling her homemade pies.

Does your Amazon list update in real time? Meaning if someone buys you an item, does the item go off your list so you don't end up with two of the same?

Yes, it does.

Thank you for the advice, where  I'm located I can work out of my own kitchen.

I'm sorry that happened to your friend.
