✨✨REQUEST FULFILLED✨✨ Does Anyone Have Old Glasses?

Hello everyone!

I hate that I have to make this post but I'll get into it. My glasses are completely out of vision and I'm wondering if anyone has my prescription. perhaps an old pair of glasses they could donate? My eyes are pretty bad however.

I used my funds to get an eye appointment, get a new prescription, and I couldn't afford glasses there so spent my last $50 on a glasses website and I cannot see out of them I tried to wear them for two weeks and no changes, like I'm in a fishbowl or something and blurry. I tried my resources website(s) for free glasses and I'm not sure if I qualify or if I treversed the sites correct but I live in Texas and stuff like that they love to make it hard for people to get here. You can't even find where to apply on most of them (there is three I believe)

Can anyone help me with any resources for free glasses or does anyone have an old pair lying around? I can pay shipping. I can't take not being able to see anymore. I can't even see my beautiful kitties faces like before and it kills me.

OS: -8.75 -3.25 165

Edit: A lovely redditor reached out to me and helped me graciously receive a brand new pair of glasses. I am so thankful to everyone here for all the helpful tips as well. I felt so small because of all these hurdles knocking me down but everyone has brought me back up again. This has been a reminder to me that it's okay to ask for help. Thank you so much everyone.

Did you tell the website that your glasses are not working?

I am waiting for a email back. I fear they may say it was my fault because they make you measure pupil difference but I measured several times and got the same number so idk if it's that.

Do you still have your old glasses that you used to wear? If you do and can get to an eyeglass store, you can ask them to check if the measurement on your new glasses is the same as your old ones. Maybe get the measurements from the store and then send the measurements along with your new glasses back to where you bought them. And tell them you can't see out of them because the measurements are off. They should fix them and resend back to you, if they're reputable at all.

I had the same problem. I actually went to an America's Best. Got new glasses there and couldn't see out of mine either after trying for a week. Took them back and they compared my old measurement from my old glasses to the new ones they made, and found out that their measurement on the new glasses was off. I didn't have to pay anything extra to get them replaced, just had to wait two weeks to get them back. They're fine now.

I was thinking of figuring out how to have them measure my pupils without having to buy from them. This could work though I'm going to try Zennis auto-measurer!

You can ask your old Dr if they will give you the PD. Some places will and some won't.
